Mojstrana Via Ferrata for Families & Kids | From Bled, Slovenia

Description
There are trips your kids will talk about for years. This is one of them. On this half-day adventure from Bled, your family scales a real limestone wall above the alpine village of Mojstrana, gripping steel cables, climbing iron rungs with a professional mountain guide at your side. By the time your kids reach the summit and sign their name in the logbook, they won't just feel proud. They'll feel like mountaineers. The route is the Aljaževa via ferrata on Grančišče hill, Grade B, 180m of vertical, 250m long, and widely considered Slovenia's best family outdoor experience. This activity is safe; no climbing experience is needed. Children from age 6 and 120cm can do this, and your IFMGA-certified guide will teach them everything before the first step. The village of Mojstrana sits at the gateway to Triglav National Park, and the Slovenian Alpine Museum is a short walk from the start — a perfect way to end a day your family will be talking about at dinner tables for years to come.

Highly recommended for anyone who’s looking for outdoor activities near Bled! The owner Jerry is very experienced with 11years being a guide and he is super nice, enthusiastic about what he does and genuinely care about the world. We had two via ferrata tours with him and he was so helpful and patient and we had an amazing time! I really hope that his business will do well in the future!

I've had doubts if this activity will be suitable for my kids (age 9,11). But the guide provided proper equipment (small harness, helmet) and took extra care of the kids. They had less problems with the heights then I did! We did one 200m high ferrata and then we went to another place and did one ferrata in a canyon that didn't have much exposure but it was so much fun! Like a playground for a whole family. We got nice pictures at the end as well!
Matevž did excellent job. I expected to climb the wall only once, but we climbed two ferratas. First the easy one and then the hard one with the vertical ladder.
