Description

There is no better way to understand Modena than through its food. Under your hostess's expert guidance, you will roll, cut, and shape handmade tagliatelle, then choose your stuffed pasta adventure: master the classic ricotta tortelloni or learn the art of folding delicate capelletti, both rooted in the deep culinary traditions of Emilia-Romagna. To finish, you will whip up a velvety homemade Tiramisù — Italy's most beloved dessert. When the aprons come off, sit down with your fellow food lovers to enjoy everything you have made: a spread of local antipasto, your freshly cooked pasta, Tiramisù, and a selection of fine Italian wines and coffee. More than a cooking lesson — this is an afternoon of laughter, culture, and genuine Italian hospitality in the heart of one of the world's great food cities.

Authentic and amazing cooking experience!

Luisa and Ilaria were so friendly and accommodating. They had everything set up and ready to go to make amazing pasta. Their hospitality was amazing - preparing us coffee, drinks, and having great conversation throughout our cooking class. We also enjoyed the best tiramisu in Italy!!! By the end of the class, we felt like we saying goodbye to family!

A great experience for cooking pasta!!

We loved this cooking class! My husband and I went here to learn to cook pasta, along with another couple. While making pasta, they served us appetizers, wine and then for dinner we had the pasta we made and some tiramisu. It’s one of the best experiences we’ve had!

So much fun!!!

We were greeted by our 3 wonderful ladies to teach us. After the hard work of rolling out the fresh pasta dough :) came the fun part of making the tortellini and tagliatelle. And tiramisu. And plenty of local lambrusco and laughs. A truly wonderful experience.

Really lovely

We've done a couple of cooking courses in Italy before. This one seemed quite cheap so we weren't expecting too much. However, we had a lovely time. Mum (with no English at all) just got on with her usual food preparation for a normal fresh pasta meal. Her son translated (our Italian is embarrassingly bad) and got in her way so she occasionally grabbed the kitchen utensil or pushed him aside like Mums do! Dad and the dog sat next to us watching telly. It really felt like we were involved in a normal family day. We got lots of hands-on experience rolling pasta and trying to make Tortelloni. Then we all sat down together to eat. Charming experience. We really enjoyed it. Be warned, their lovely house is in the middle of nowhere so take a taxi.

Making pasta!

We travelled to Modena to participate in this class - it was so much fun and the food was amazing! Our hosts were absolutely lovely. They showed us how to make egg pasta, crescentina (tigelle), and gave us a taste of balsamic vinegar and wine from the region. It’s fairly easy to get there by bus or taxi if you have no transport (if you take the bus you can use the 551! Our bus driver said they didn’t know the stop but it does exist).

Enjoyed the evening. Had fun making tortellini. They were delicious with homemade broth. Hosts were lovely. Great activity to do with my teenage son.

The best meal we had on our trip!

Stefano and his mom were welcoming and organized. We learned about making the food and its place in Italian culture. They were very generous as they shared two wines, grappa and espresso. I would recommend this activity to couples and families. However, I am not sure they can accommodate large groups.
