Depart from downtown Ketchikan and set out to explore Misty Fjords! Throughout your journey prepared to be wowed by tales of this remote oasis as our lively local guides and Expedition team share fascinating insights into its rich history, both natural and human. Take in the incredible sights of Rudyerd Bay and the fjords, with their massive cliffs towering up to 3,000 feet high, creating landmarks like God’s Pocket and the Owl Cliffs. Cruise over to a bustling bird hangout, feel the spray from gorgeous waterfalls, and keep an eye out for seals, eagles, and other critters.
Enjoy sights such as the towering New Eddystone Rock, a giant volcanic spire rising from the shimmering sea.

Wonderful day in Ketchikan. The boat cabin was nice and roomy, the seats were comfortable, the snacks were delicious, the drinks were hot, the views were spectacular. It was a chilly day and the cabin inside was very nice to sit, visit and see the beauty of Alaska as we sailed to the Fjords. We stopped and saw a whale, we saw an eagle, seals and several porpoises. The treat however was the amazing mountain walls down the Fjords canyon, the white water waterfalls, snow capped mountains, tall green pine trees against the ocean was spectacular!
The Fjords and sight seeing were remarkable. However, there was very little commentary during the 4 hours (2 hours each way) of travel time. There was little to no information shared, interesting facts or history shared provided by the on board naturalist. We were provided complimentary tea, coffee and hot cholocate and a single donut hole enroute to the fjords for a snack. Enroute back we were provided with a whopping 3 tortilla chips and a tablespoon of salsa. There was food for sale on the boat as well. However, the tour was advertised as having snacks and beverages on board included. Overall, the fjords and scenery were remarkable, however the service provided was lack luster.
Through an unfortunate series of events, we missed the boat by 10 minutes but the operator graciously refunded us. I would highly recommend this operator. We have taken this in the past and it is amazing!
Viator was extremely easy to use from booking to paying to finding the meet up location. This is a great excursion; the scenery in the National Park is spectacular. Bonus was seeing a number of whales too. The excursion boat was easy to board, coffee was delicious.
Ontime, accesible point walking distance from the ship, hospitality and attentive crew. The experience was awesome. The Mysti Fjords are a wonder of nature. I recommend this tour.
Booked through cruise line. Not worth the price. Not an accurate description of this excursion. The description was intentionally deceptive. This is a 5 hour boat ride to see Fjords for 15 minutes. We missed out on Ketchikan
We went for the Misty Fjords tour on the Melinda Leigh and had a wonderful time! The weather was beautiful, water was calm, crew was knowledgeable and very competent, and the scenery was spectacular. The captain went out of his way to spot and provide viewing of humpback whales that were feeding (and breaching) near one of the shorelines. This tour line is very respectful of the marine wildlife, so it eased our minds to know we could trust them to care about their well-being. Our captain/pilot was very skilled, as he navigated even the trickiest areas with ease. We highly recommend this trip!
