Minivan with Local Guide (3-6 Guests) Private Tour

We took a private van tour with Roatan Five Stars and couldn’t not have had a better experience. Our guide, JB, was a simply wonderful human who gave us a great experience of local flavor, customs and didn’t hesitate to provide information about his home and the people that inhabit the incredible island of Roatan. JB was a safe, considerate, funny and warm driver. Cannot recommend this company, their vehicles and personnel enough!

We did the sloths/monkeys, chocolate factory, Rum and Cake Factory, and the Roatan sign for pictures. It was the best. Everyone had a blast. JB was our guide and he is awesome. I would always ask for him.

Simon was an incredible host and tour guide. He is native to Roatan so he was incredibly knowledgeable. He stayed with us the whole day ensuring we had the best experience and kept us on track for time back to our ship. If you are ever in Roatan, ask for Simon!

We had a great time at the Monkey and Sloth exhibit, and going over to Little French Key. Our driver was excellent, informative, and helpful to me helping to handle my husband's wheelchair in and out of the van. The service at Little French Key was good. The photos at the monkey/Sloth exhibit were great! Our driver got us back to the cruise port in plenty of time prior to departure.

Absolutely wonderful way to see the island highlights. We bought the private minivan tour for 3-6 people. We told Reny, our great guide, our interests and he took care of the rest. He was informative, funny and helpful at each stop along the way. I highly recommend Reny and Roatan five star tours.

Our tour guide Reny took us to a Monkey & Sloth experience that was awesome. This was followed up with a tour of the Chocolate Factory and the Rum Distillery. Both were great with tastings of all kinds. After all the touring aren’t took us to a private beach club called Beacher’s bar & grill where we were very well taken care of. Kids had a great time and Reny was a fantastic guide!

My family of 7 rented a private minivan for our cruise port stop in Roatan. There were a few surprises which made this tour less than five star. First, they don't actually pick you up at the pier in Mahogony Bay. You have to walk out of the pier, and up a semi-steep hill to exit the pier area. There you will find your driver. I made sure that the company knew we had 7 people and asked if we would fit (the company website advertises up to 7 people, tripadvisor says 6). I was assured we could have 7 people for the tour. Imagine my surprise when we did not have a mini van pick us up, but rather a Hyundai Santa Fe! We squished my 18, 17, and 13 year old children in the third row and off we went. Fortunately my father in law speaks fluent Spanish because our driver, while friendly, nice, and helpful, spoke limited English. The tour would not have been nearly as good had no one in our group understood Spanish. Our driver did take us around the island and to various spots we requested. He took group pictures of us and provided us a locals perspective on the island which is what we were looking for. I just wish we would have had a real minivan as space was extremely tight.

I am so glad that we reserved this private tour instead of booking an excursion. The minivan was waiting for us when we came out of the cruise port. Our guide Denzel was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He provided us with a lot of information about the island and catered the tour to our preferences. The stop at the animal park was amazing. The view from the Rum factory is awesome. We then went to a beach where he arranged a private snorkel tour for us. We saw plenty of colorful fish and the water was crystal clear. I highly recommend Denzel as your guide, he was super nice and knowledgeable, and humble.
