Milos Island Full day Private Tour

Description
We know the whole island like the palm of our hand. We can take you to dramatic sea caves and beaches so secluded even the local goats have a hard time getting there.
Tour Options
Itinerary
We either depart 1) from the dock of Platis Gialos marina in Sifnos or 2) from the dock of Pollonia bay in Milos. 1) If we departed from Sifnos then we cruise the strait of Kimolos-Milos, in about 25 minutes we pass the northwest cape of wonderful Poliegos island and head towards the southeastern cape of Milos Island and the famous sulfur mines, we reach it after about 15 minutes. 2) If we departed from Milos then we cruise south from Pollonia and after 5.5 NM and less than 15 minutes we reach the famous sulfur mines.
We anchor and can swim to the beach where we can visit the old mine which was operating until the mid-1950s. It’s a wonderful place and the scenery reminds of a theme from a Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western movies. The sea water is a bit yellow from the sulfur and they say that its very therapeutic! You can visit the old factory where the old machinery is still there. We can spend about 20 minutes there. After we enter the boat, we head southwest towards Gerakas beach which is only accessible with a boat and it’s probably one of the top 5 beaches in the Cycladic islands. The water is simply amazing, and the vibe of the place is incredible. We anchor and we can swim for as long as you like, you can swim to the beach where you can lay on a very soft type of pebbly sand that you simply can’t get enough of it! Usually, we stay there for about an hour, but even more if you like.
Afterwards, we enter the boat and keep heading southwest towards Tsigrado beach, the only beach in Milos that people climb a big wooden ladder to visit it. Indeed, a special place. We swim right next to it, and away from the many people that visit the place, in a very secluded spot that fits just one boat and the water is so turquoise. We drop anchor and stay there for about half an hour. After we enter the boat, we keep heading southwest towards Gerontas beach, but just before we get there, we pass a big cave which we enter with the boat and go all the way in. Gerontas beach has a magnificent dark brown and very fine sand with many small “private” kind of beaches throughout the left part of the beach and behind a big rock, where you can jump in the sea from. We drop anchor and can stay there for about another half an hour swimming.
After we enter the boat, we keep heading southwest towards the famous Kleftiko. This is one of the most photographed landscapes and is famous not just in Greece but worldwide. We can enjoy the group of grey-white rocks of strange shapes and formations, with incredible caves and cavities. We drop anchor in many different spots there and we swim and explore all the caves, where we enter from one location and exit in a different one! We stay at Kleftiko for about an hour and 15 minutes, taking in all the unbelievable beauty that nature created for us to enjoy. Of course, we use our masks and snorkels to explore all the caves! We enter the boat, we start heading north towards Sykia cave, which does not have a roof, the sunbeams come into the cave and make the waters shine. Also, we can see a small beach. We can stop and swim in the emerald waters and see the corals that take different colors depending on the sunbeams that light them. We stay at Sykia cave for about half an hour.
We enter the boat, we start heading north towards Triades beach, where we also anchor and swim into waters of incredible clarity and a wild scenery, that is because of 9 consecutive beaches one next to each other. We stay there for about half an hour. We keep heading north till we pass the huge entrance of Adamas port of Milos and head northeast till we reach our next anchor stop, the magnificent beach of Sarakiniko, one of the most photographed landscapes of Milos and the Cyclades. We can spend about a whole hour there swimming in deep waters, jumping and diving off the tall, greyish–white cliffs that can have amazing shapes often compared to a moonscape, and enjoy the famous fiords.
After Sarakiniko, if we wish to have a late lunch/early dinner we can stop by Mandrakia beach and be stunned by the incredible and traditional syrmata houses, each with a different colored door, made to shelter the fishing boats in the winter. There we can have exquisite seafood delicacies in the seaside tavern called Medousa, enjoying a glass of wine (or ouzo), overseeing the amazing scenery of the ever so colorful and rocky sea just under us. We head east towards Pollonia and pass by the Navagio (Shipwreck) and can swim in deep waters and see at approximately 8 – 10 meters below surface level an old shipwreck. Then we pass by Papafragas. It is an impressive place that resembles a huge natural swimming pool, an enormous cave carved out of the cliff’s side. There is also a tiny strip of sand that forms the beach. We can snorkel and enjoy the site and this unique geological phenomenon.
2) If we departed from Milos, we keep heading east and enter the port of Pollonia bay and finish off a simply incredible day full of memories that will last a lifetime! 1) If we departed from Sifnos, we keep heading east and check out the beautiful little port of Pollonia where the small ferryboat connects Milos with the island of Kimolos every hour. We then keep heading east, we pass the southeast cape of Kimolos island, then pass outside Psathi which is the port of Kimolos island and turn Northeast towards Sifnos so we can reach Platis Gialos and finish off a simply incredible day full of memories that will last a lifetime!

Unfortunately we could not make the visit as there were very strong winds and was veru dangerous. Riri informed as of this as soon it became evident. The days when it was going to be possible were after we had left the island so they immediately refunded the maney we had paid. Very impressed with the honesty and celerity. Would certainly use that company a again!
Thank you, Richard! We're glad Riris could assist you promptly and keep your safety a priority. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
Our full Milos tour with A La Mer Boat Rentals was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip in Milos! From the moment we set off, we were treated to an unforgettable journey. We visited all the amazing, famous spots and even explored some incredible secret caves that felt like our own private discovery. Giannis, the skipper was absolutely fantastic: professional, friendly but also discrete, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. The entire experience truly exceeded our expectations. This is an experience you simply cannot miss if you are in Milos. We can't recommend A La Mer enough!
It's reviews like yours that make it all worth it. Thank you so much for sharing this, greatly appreciated!

Yesterday we had a fantastic day with two boats, all our children and grandchildren! Riris took us to absolutely magical places, crystal clear waters, with a color bluer than we have ever experienced before! plus an absolutely fantastic restaurant! Magical!!
Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It is great to have people onboard who appreciate and enjoy our private tours... And let's not forget the lunch :) Come back anytime!
Our family took the gorgeous Mojo boat out yesterday for the day. It was my husband and I and our 3 teenage daughters. Yiannis was our captain for the day. He was AMAZING. Very cautious and measured about where we could and could not go. We stopped at so many beautiful spots where we all jumped off the boat, swum through caves and they gave us goggles and snorkels. A light lunch was provided with refreshments all day. It has been the highlight of our trip so far and the best way to see the islands. The water is crystal clear. We went to Milos and on the way back we stopped at Prasonisi in Kimolos for a late lunch which I can highly recommend. Best boat, best captain, best day. If you get the chance to do this, I highly recommend it.
Thank you so much for sharing this excellent review with the rest of the world. Greatly appreciated. Come back anytime!
We did the full-day Milos tour and it was absolutely amazing! Our captain was fantastic, taking us to the most beautiful spots. The waters were incredible, and the food at Medusa restaurant, with its view of Kimolos, was simply divine. Thank you, A La Mer, see you next year!"
Milos is always incredible, no matter if you see the same scenery day after day, truly magnificent. Having you along makes it even better dear Karolos, thank you for this review!
The best service, Riris top captain, such fun and lovely person. With him we discovered the secret spots and enjoyed secluded beaches, just for us. We have already booked a 4 day trip for next June. Very happy and excited
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for leaving a review about your experience with A La Mer on TripAdvisor. Your kind words and feedback mean a lot to me and my team, and we truly appreciate your support.
Our family has been doing a day-long excursion by boat every year for almost ten years in various parts of Greece, always a private tour. My husband and all the kids (now teens) universally enjoyed Riri's tour, and rated it #1. Riri is knowledgeable and flexible, which are key to customizing your experience according to the group's interests, how adventurous or "chill" your crowd is, and strength of swimming ability. We explored caves, cliff-diving and learned all about Milos. It was truly an unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
OMG, Maria you made me blush :) Thank you so much for these wonderful words. Greatly appreciated for sharing your thoughts with everyone! Come back !
