Itinerary
Your small group walking tour of Milan begins here, at the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, home of one the world's most famous paintings: Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper.
Enjoy privileged and exclusive access to this internationally renowned site, and admire the immense beauty of the Last Supper with a handful of tourists in the room.
Next, continue onto Piazza degli Affari, the financial district of Milan. This is the economic pulse of the city and of the country, giving Milan its eclectic mix of fashion, finance and folklore. Learn of its beginnings in 1808 and even further into the past – during Emperor Augustus’ reign and get catapulted back into the present with Maurizio Cattelan’s controversial public sculpture called L.O.V.E. and also known to the Milanese as ‘Il Dito‘ (the middle finger).
Continue onto San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, and admire its spectacular 16th century frescoes across the ceiling and walls. Hear the life and death of Santa Caterina, whose stories inspired one of the chapels within the church and its Luini frescoes. This church is often referred to as the Sistine Chapel of the north of Italy and a must see for art lovers.
Your walking tour will culminate at Milan's most famous piazza and Basilica: the Duomo! A perfect example of Italian Gothic architecture, built under Archbishop Antonio da Saluzzo, the Duomo took nearly 600 years to finish (!) and remains the current seat for the Archbishop of Milan. The area marks the heart of the city center of Milan and of what what once known as Roman Mediolanum during the Roman Empire. Admire the Basilica from the majestic Piazza del Duomo as your guide explains all the wonder of the most famous church and piazza of Milan.
Your tour will continue through the bustling streets of Milan and over to yet another visual pleasure, San Satiro, designed by the same man who designed St Peter’s Basilica in Rome – Bramante. You will be amazed by his incredible use and creation of perspective throughout San Satiro, techniques that were completely innovative at the time.

Viewing The Last Supper was even better than expected and was the best part of the tour as the remainder was just okay. The guide was informative and attentive. My opinion was the tour was overpriced for the tour we received. Yes it was likely priced for the small group but was not really necessary for this tour.
I rarely if ever enjoy group tours. This one was the rare exception. Our guide was charming, knowledgeable and told interesting stories about The Last Supper and the spots we visited elsewhere in Milan. We were part of a group of four so were not pulled along past things of interest to us. Tickets to see the Last Supper are super hard to get. While I felt a bit of a spendthrift buying a tour, it was worth every euro.
Lara was so informative. She was very energetic and truly loved showing us Milan. I would recommend her to anyone.

Amazing tour! She does a great job explaining the history while keeping the tour engaging and fun! Such a great experience for my first time in Milan!!!
This was a great experience. Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. She knew so much about the history of Milan and Italy. Her passion about her native country was contagious. Having just 6 people on the tour made it a more intimate and educational experience.
Our guide, Katerina, is an engaging, energetic, intelligent and knowledgeable guide. The tour of the Last Supper was much more meaningful due to the information she imparted. Our small group tour of the center of Milan was also extremely interesting and included a visit to a stunningly beautiful church and site of Roman ruins. Worth every euro.
Thank you so much, Liz. We're thrilled that Katerina brought the Last Supper to life for you—that's exactly the kind of meaningful encounter we hope to create. The combination of Milan's Roman layers, hidden churches, and Renaissance masterpieces really does tell the whole story of the city, and we're so glad our small-group approach let you experience it all deeply.
