Walk inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery, a 19th century glass vaulted shopping arcade. Brimming with fashionable shops and cafes, it is often called the ‘salotto di Milano’ or ‘Milan’s drawing room’ for its importance over the years as a common meeting point for the people of Milan.
Visit the splendid Duomo, one of the world's largest, most striking Gothic cathedrals. Some 135 spires and 3,200 statues are crammed onto the roof and facade of the building.
Enter Milan’s most famous Opera House, the fabulous La Scala theatre. Founded in 1778 and still in use, some of the world’s greatest musicians and opera singers have performed here including Pavarotti and Giuseppe Verdi, whose famous operas such as Falstaff often premiered in this very theatre.
The tour ends with the view of Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper, a UNESCO World Heritage sight, housed at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. The delicate nature of this mural and its importance means that Last Supper tickets are strictly limited to those who have pre-booked. Massimo was fabulous! In-depth knowledge, perspective and humor made our walking tour enjoyable. Thank you!
Maddin was very knowledgeable and this tour was the perfect taste of Milano! Seeing the Last Supper at the end was so magical.
It was a long walking tour. I probably would not do it on such a hot day in the future. Seeing Lascala, the Duomo of Milan, and the last supper was wonderful and I would not miss it.
The tour guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable however the ear bud sound system was extremely limited and missed 50% of each sentence. More importantly the group was large and she did not tune in to the individuals needs. She talked continuously and fast but no dialogue. No questions. Also her vocal skills were melodic almost singing each sentence. It was distracting and easy for me to tune out I am sorry - hate negative reviews. But we did cover all the main sites as promised Dean S
It was an excellent tour; our tour guide had great knowledge but it was a little difficult to understand him
Great! Recommended! Easy travel, clear directions, knowledgable guide, and even made friends on the tour and enjoyed the time!
Comprehensive and good tour. Guide was very informative and helpful. Justice was a good overview of neighborhoods
Understand history and meaningful reason for the location Get to go behind the building and learn the story about the building
Travelers should know this tour involves a lot of walking on ha d surfaces and to have water with you if you’re touring during the summer months. The ride to Last Supper in hop-on-hop-off was an unexpected treat. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
This tour was amazing - Massimo was a great story teller and kept everything moving. He brought the city to life. I would not recommend this tour if you have trouble walking - we had a few people who had a hard time keeping up. I didn’t realize we would tour the opera house and its museum, but it was really cool. And, you would not believe how much of an impact seeing Leonardo’s Last Supper Fresco will have on you - you have not been to Milan if you don’t see it.
