Itinerary
Meet our Guide at Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie Kickstart your half-day Milan discovery by meeting our guide in front of the Santa Maria delle Grazie church.
Marvel at Da Vinci's Last Supper What sets da Vinci's famous mural apart is that it's not displayed in a museum among other masterpieces. Instead, it is directly painted onto the wall of the humble Santa Maria delle Grazie church. This creates a unique atmosphere, as the painting is housed in a sacred and private space. Consequently, the experience becomes even more memorable and exclusive, as only a limited number of tourists are granted access each day. This exclusivity is crucial for preserving the delicate art. Another significant advantage is having an expert guide who can highlight the key elements of the masterpiece and share the folklore, myths, secrets, and facts that surround the Last Supper. This guidance is essential since each group is allowed only 15 minutes in front of the painting, and the room can accommodate less than 30 people at a time. With a few helpful pointers, you can ensure that you don't miss any details about one of the world's most famous artworks.
Admire the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II Mall Leaving the Santa Maria delle Grazie, your guide will lead you towards the city center to witness the splendor of one of the globe's most historic and lavish shopping arcades: the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Prepare to be enchanted as you encounter renowned establishments such as Gucci, Versace, Prada, and other prestigious brands within a structure that exudes the grandeur of a baroque palace rather than a typical mall. Welcome to the fashion epicenter of Milan, where your eyes will be dazzled by the opulence that surrounds you!
Pass by Sforza Castle (exterior only) The exterior of Sforza Castle is truly captivating, offering a delightful experience for visitors. The castle's architecture showcases a harmonious blend of different styles, making it a visual delight. From the imposing medieval fortress walls to the elegant Renaissance courtyards, the exterior of Sforza Castle presents a remarkable journey through time. The castle is surrounded by a picturesque park, providing a serene and scenic environment. The expansive grounds offer opportunities for leisurely walks, picnics, and exploration. You can admire the castle from various angles, appreciating its impressive scale and architectural details.
Pass by La Scala Theatre (outside only) The architectural grandeur of La Scala is awe-inspiring. From its majestic exterior adorned with neoclassical columns and statues to its lavish interiors featuring ornate decorations, intricate frescoes, and luxurious velvet seats, every detail exudes opulence and elegance. Although we only visit La Scala from the outside, our guide will be happy to share some fun facts on this impressive theatre.
Visit Milan's Duomo The renowned Duomo in Milan stands as one of the largest cathedrals globally and holds the distinction of being Italy's largest. With its vast array of captivating sights, skipping the line allows you to maximize your time exploring rather than waiting. The cathedral is a treasure trove of historic artworks, breathtaking architectural marvels, ancient crypts, and an intriguing archaeological area waiting to be discovered. Accompanied by your guide, delve into the enthralling 600-year history of its construction, the challenges faced, and the notable figures who once graced the corridors of this magnificent edifice.

Too much time between attractions . They gave us 20 in the gift shop. Difficult to understand the guide.
An excellent tour with an excellent guide. We learned a lot about the last supper, the Domo, and Milan in general.
Hi Ryan, Thank you so much for the excellent review. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about the Duomo, the Last Supper, and the history of Milan. Our guides love sharing the city's stories, so it is wonderful to know they made the experience so memorable for you. Thank you for choosing to explore Milan with us.
We had a lovely time with our amazing guide, Jose. He was an incredible storyteller and brought the history of Milan to life. Definitely a heavy walking tour, so wear good shoes, but 100% worth it to see the big hits of Milan.
We debated canceling as the tour cost almost $500 for two, but were so glad we went forward with it. The guide was excellent. From the start at da Vinci’s Last Supper to end three hours later at the Duomo this tour provided a deep understanding of the most important sights in Milan. Note that the Duomo rooftop is not included. We spent an addition 28€ each for that and it was well worth it.
Good tour. Sometimes the only way you can see the Last Supper. Guide was informative. Only suggestion is that the tour could have been about two hours instead of three. But worth it.
We had a very enjoyable morning with Maria our guide. She is so knowledgeable, easy to understand, and very professional. What a joy it was to see such amazing sites with her as our guide.
First, our guide was wonderful. She was pleasant and so knowledgeable. The walking tour was a great way to this area. Everything is loaded. Hopefully you can get a sense of our tour. We started at The Last Supper and Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie. Then moved to Castello Sforzesco before entering the Brera District (Art District) then onto the Teatro alla Scala (Opera House) through the Galleria into the Piazza Del Duomo and wrap up with a tour of the Duomo di Milano. Wonderful time. Thank you
When my ticket was issued there was a link to contact local tour operator. The link did not work and I was unable to get any help with my tour the night before or the day of. I was only contacted after the tour was starting and notified I couldn't get on the tour at any time that am. Please contact me regarding this review 801 5572565 or brmernest@gmail.com
Ciao, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you missed your tour, but we do want to clarify how the booking process works. Because bookings are managed directly through Viator, their strict twenty four hour cancellation and amendment policy applies. When you reached out the night before your tour, it was already past this deadline, which is why no changes could be made to your reservation. Our team did try to connect with you on the morning of the tour, but since our groups must depart exactly on time to access these historic sites, we cannot accommodate late arrivals. In the event of a failure to arrive on time, we absolutely cannot guarantee that there will be any other availability for you later in the day.
This was not even close to being worth the $250 that I paid. Our tour guide was enthusiastic but completely incoherent. The way he spoke was impossible to follow. When I say i understand what he was talking about only 10% of the time, I am not exaggerating. It’s like he was telling himself a story for only him to understand. Save your money and get your own tickets to visit The Last Supper and the Duomo. Or find a better tour.
Dear Jessica, We are truly sorry to hear that this tour did not live up to your expectations. While we appreciate that your guide was enthusiastic, it is incredibly disappointing to hear that his commentary was so difficult to follow that you missed out on the history of the Duomo and The Last Supper. Our goal is always to deliver clear, engaging storytelling, and we drop the ball when a guest leaves feeling they would have been better off on their own. We have immediately shared your feedback with our Milan Operations Manager to review this guide's presentation style and ensure our communication standards are consistently met. Thank you for your candid feedback, and we hope to have the chance to restore your confidence in us on a future journey.
This was a good introductory overview of the main sites in Milan and general orientation, for later in-depth visits (at least the castle and the Duomo). The Last Supper was the main event, of course. Our tour guide, Linda, was great company for the duration of the tour, with lots of interesting facts to share about all the sites and the city in general. I’m glad we did this tour.
