Awesome little museum in Budapest with fascinating exhibits. About an hours worth maximum. Reasonable value for money given that you get a free drink too - Definitely recommend.
We visited the Mika Secret Museum as a family and loved it. The way the museum has been integrated into the hotel’s historic cellar spaces creates a very special and tangible atmosphere that immediately captivates. Our highlights: We were particularly fascinated by the elaborately recolored video footage. It shows the incredible vibrancy on the streets of Budapest between 1900 and 1945. Through the color, the historical scenes suddenly seem very approachable and lively. It also gives a good insight into the entrepreneurial family of Mika Tivadar. Family check: Highly recommended for families with children who already have an interest in this historical era. Since the exhibition shows both the joyful and the later very sad aspects of this period, it is nothing for very young children, but extremely educational and impressive for older children. Service & cuisine: The service was excellent and extremely friendly! The receptionist was very accommodating and offered us the best possible service – we were more than satisfied. An additional tip is the “Mitico” bar located in the same house. The bartender there is a real professional and could explain to us details about the preparation of any, even exotic drink. Conclusion: Whether you are a hotel guest or simply interested in the history of Budapest: Definitely worth a visit!
Lovely small museum which gives you a broad picture of what Budapest was like in its turbulent past. Really enjoyable experience.
Interesting but only an hour max. Enjoyed the old films, and wall information. More past history would have been good to see.
A unique museum in the basement of the hotel: a compact history of the buildings in the immediate vicinity, which always makes surprising references to famous people. A very nice idea very well implemented. I really liked the visit.

Very small exhibition with just one room - not much to see. Thankfully it is next door to a very nice bar where you can have a fancy cocktail afterwards. The exhibition is cheap, so if you red to kill half an hour then perfect.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for discovering both our cocktail bar and secret museum. Our museum primarily explores the rich history of our building and its surrounding attractions, while our cocktail bar is housed in a space that once served as a copper shop during World War II. Additionally, our exhibits unveil hidden insights into the local party district, offering many captivating historical details. We are continuously enhancing our content, and exciting expansion plans for the museum are currently underway. Thank you again for your visit, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Warm regards, Anu
