Stephanie gave a wonderful tour, hitting the highlights of Uffizi gallery and weaving in the evolution of painting styles among Italian artists. Our guide in the Academie/David also very knowledgeable in interesting. Both guides brought the artists and their famous works to life!
Marilena was such a pleasant guide. With her tour, we could appreciate the beautiful city of Florence from the lens of a local.
Sarah was an excellent guide and made the entire experience worthwhile! Her knowledge of the material was extensive but she didn't bore the group either and was good fun.
The group is sold as a small tour, but there were still about 18-20 people on it. Also, there is a gap of a few hours between when you visit each museum. This was not clear in the description and led to a choppy day. Although it was nice to be guided to the main attractions, the guides were not super knowledgeable regarding the artwork, artists, and significance of the artwork. Overall, I was disappointed.
Hi Laura, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed being guided to the main highlights of both museums and that the tour helped you navigate these iconic sites. We're sorry that the group size and pacing of the day did not meet your expectations. Your comments are valuable and will be shared with our team as we continually work to improve the experience we offer our guests.
Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable about Florence’s history. As we walked through the city, he took time to explain in detail the significance of the buildings and statues. The highlights of this tour were the David and the Uffizi gallery. These are amazing and a must see! Wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking.
Very crowded. Our guide was extremely helpful. The skip-the-line was very helpful.
The tour with the Uffizi gallery was excellent. We had an amazing time. However, there was not really any communication for the Accedemia tour like there was with the Uffizi tour and due to time constraints and lack of communication we missed the tour to see the David. We asked for accommodations to see later that day or the next morning and we were told no.
Dear davidbF9775CZ, Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Uffizi Gallery tour. We are sorry, however, that there was confusion regarding the Accademia visit. This booking is a combination of two separate tours, and the meeting point and start time for each venue are specified on the confirmation voucher provided after booking. We are also available through multiple contact channels should guests require any clarification prior to their visit. We regret that we were not contacted before the tour, as we may have been able to help avoid the misunderstanding. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Our guide Stephanie was great. Made the art come alive with stories and context we would not have known. Just the right amount of time to see everything.
We signed up for the Michelangelo’s Accademia, Uffizi gallery and City Walking tour that cost $125 pp. The day before we received e-mail saying our tour was to be run by City Wonders as 2 separate tours and did not include the City Walking Tour. If you look for this tour now, it only costs about $55 pp. I immediately contacted Viator and they are placing responsibility on City Wonders for the discrepancy and City Wonders is not refunding any money. I believe this is false advertising by Viator and they are only refunding us 10% or $51 when there is a nearly $300 difference in what we paid and what it now costs. We have used Viator several times in the past with no problems, but this is a gross misrepresentation by them and we will no longer book anymore tours through them.
Dear Kevin_L, Thank you for booking with us. We are sorry to hear about a discrepancy with the price difference between 2 tour types. Please reach out to us via email at info@citywonders.com with your Viator reference number so we can check for you.
Academia with our guide Theresa was excellent she explained everything so well Michael Angelo’s David was superb you couldn’t stop looking at him. The Uffizi was fantastic and our guide explained the two paintings of Venus beautifully. We did have a very long wait at the start to something technical which was annoying. But this is a trip you have to do for sure.
