The trip was made by bus and not by train due to some problem in the rail network. None of this changed the logistics. I was in Thessalonica and left the city's own bus station, already with the road tickets. When you stop at a highway stop, take the bus to the final destination, where there is an agency guide waiting for the tourist. The gear works well, just can't miss the bus schedule. Back the same thing. A 4 hour drive. I do not recommend in any case to do hit / back on the same day. Besides exhausting, it is not possible to visit well the beautiful monasteries and enjoy the region that is indescribable. You're gonna be frustrated. Basic sleep, rest. At least 2 days to enjoy a distant and charming place. You can also reach from Athenas
Simply out of this world. Incredibly beautiful place and great insights provided by the team, taking us to the best places for the most awesome views.
Family with two kids from Netherlands. Meteora is a great sight and with two tours we visited the important monasteries and the sightseeing spots. What stood out was the people in the organization, as to how helpful they are. When we left a bag in the tour bus just before our departure they went out of their way to help us get it back immediately so that we sid bot muss our ride.
We planned to run a railway to Kalambaka, but the construction work meant that there were fewer trains, so they arranged a bus as an alternative. We arrived in about four hours from Thessaloniki. It was mid-November, but Meteora was comfortable with the weather and lots of tourists, but not enough to stop sightseeing. The showers at the three-star hotel were small and cramped.
So I had Olivia on my tour and she was just so down to earth. I loved her. We're both teachers so I just really appreciated her speaking voice and I know we had a lot to cover so I just appreciated the entire tour. Meteora is a very highly visited place but I felt good about my decision to go with this tour. Everyone had a good time! Just a warning, there will be crowds. If you're claustrophobic, you should probably skip this one. Otherwise, go for it.
Thank you for your heartfelt review. Meteora is indeed a popular destination, especially during peak season, and we appreciate your honest tip for future travelers. We’re delighted you felt confident in your choice to join us and that the tour left a positive impression. Hope to see you again!
Meteora is an amazing experience. On site we had knowledgeable guides and professional drivers. But the transfer from Thessaloniki to Meteora was a terrible experience. We booked a trip with 3 hours train ride. 4 days before the trip (when it is difficult to find alternatives) we were contacted by the organizer who announced that due to storms it was not possible to travel by train all the way. Instead, the journey time was just over 6 hours in each direction, including a 2-hour wait at a hot and almost deserted station for a change to bus. There was no information about this at the time of booking, although this was known to the organisers for over 1 year. Had we known when we booked, we would have chosen a different travel option. I understand that the organizers deliberately withheld important information about the conditions of the trip at the time of booking in order not to scare away customers.
Thank you for your feedback and your time ! Hope to see you again soon !

Meteora is amazing. Both the guides are very good & knowledgeable & tell us details of Meteora. The bus ride from Athens & transfer was smooth only that we have to load our luggages to the buses. The 3 star hotel was also very clean & good plus the breakfast was a bonus too
The monasteries on the top of Meteora were amazing. The natural beauty of the rock formations was breathtaking. The sunset tour was fantastic. The tour staff on both days were fabulous. Hotel Kaikis was good, especially the breakfast.
Great agency to work with, they are very responsive and accommodating. The tour guide are friendly, knowledgeable and funny. I did the 2 day tour with a 4.5 hr sunset tour and the morning tour with the hike. It's an easy mostly downhill hike, with hidden places, spots you can get to only on your feet. The hotel was great too with delicious breakfast that had plenty of vegan options. Staff was friendly.
