The history of civil rights is a difficult subject. This tour covers it well. Reasonable amount of walking, good historical commentary, and a speaker who is easy to listen to. Our only wish was for instructions that would navigate us around construction - some of the sidewalks were pretty bad. Overall, an enjoyable tour with excellent communication from the designer.
My husband and I had a wonderful time walking around and listening to the tour on my phone. The directions given were wonderful. The narrator provided excellent information and we even went to Gus‘s Fried Chicken to eat because of their review and previous tour reviews that we did earlier on our vacation. I would recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Memphis.
It was a great and informative tour. Could you possibly add information about Otis Redding or Aretha Franklin. Thank you!
It is a very moving experience. If you don’t shed a tear you have no emotions in you. The realization of what these humans went through is indescribable and really makes you wonder why
