This magnificent shul was built in 1932 obviously because there was a sizeable jewish community in the area. Sadly no longer. The 1200 seat auditorium is often used for cantorial concerts . Over the high holidays the shul is popular for worshippers who have a family tradition of attending services.
this brand new memorial has the latest in audio visual equipment plus huge amounts of items on display. The main object is to show the world what hatred results in and to combat antisemitism a everlasting plague among the nations.

Review: "Errol was a wonderful tour guide! He provided a fantastic overview of Melbourne, packed with intricate details and fun facts that we would have never known. Errol is a treasure trove of knowledge and has a great sense of humor as well! He allowed us to customize our itinerary while also ensuring we stayed on schedule to maximize our time. Highly recommended!"
Thank you for that lovely review . Its alway a pleasure showcasing marvellous Melbourne ... Come again ..
Our Guide, Errol, gave us a wonderful tour visiting a number of Jewish sites around Melbourne. My favourite would be Golds, the book store, but that is only because I love books. The visits to the other sites were also wonderful and the choices of bagel shops made the decisions difficult. The stop for lunch at a falafel place made for a wonderful day. The best food I've had in a while.
Thank you for your 5***** review of your Melbourne Jewish scene recently on your recent Melbourne visit. Your tour was made all the better because of you and your lovely daughter and boyfriend. I wish you all success and a wonderful New Year...It was a pleasure meeting you... Go well.
