Beyond a perfect day! Our guide Jorge was such a joy! We combined horseback, zip lining, water falls, water slide and hot springs and mud bath. The views were incredible! We were beyond thrilled with our perfect day!
I was one of the group leaders and I've done many group trips. The guide can "make or break" the experience and I honestly can say that Rodrego was the best tour guide I've had on a trip. His enthusiasm for Costa Rica and his knowledge of history, geography, geology, biology and local industries was very impressive! Wow! But even more importantly, he was very friendly and easy to work with every day!
Thank you so much for your wonderful words! It fills us with joy to know you had such an amazing adventure in our beautiful Costa Rica. We couldn’t agree more — Rodrigo is an incredible guide who brings deep knowledge, contagious enthusiasm, and a true love for his country to every experience. We’re so proud to have him on our team! It means the world to us that your group had a memorable time. Thank you for recommending us — and we truly hope to welcome you back for even more pura vida adventures! 🇨🇷🌿
Since we're constantly being badgered about a review, here's ours: IT GOT CANCELED ON US THE MORNING OF! So no, we didn't go and to say we were pissed off is an understatement. And not because it was canceled but because we were not informed until that morning after we waited for over an hour for our ride to pick us up at the W Reserva Conchal. So yeah, stop asking us to review an experience we had with another company who came to the rescue.
Hello, We are truly sorry for the situation regarding your canceled tour. The service required a minimum number of guests to operate, and unfortunately, this was not met on the day of your booking. We acknowledge that the notice came too late, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. As part of our apology, we provided a refund and also extended offers such as discounts and free services. We take your feedback seriously and will work on improving our communication process. Kind regards, ST Costa Rica DMC Team
omg, so much fun! I never ziplined before so I was pretty excited. I didn't realize how high up it actually was lol. What a crazy feeling to be up so high zipping through the forest and being able to see it all from up there! The water slide was insane but so much fun! It's a long hike to the top but you get cooled off very quickly once you get on the slide. It's also really long so the hike was worth it. What can I say about the hot springs? It was beautiful, quiet, relaxing, clean etc. You just cannot believe these things are in the middle of a rainforest.
Garbage Company. Went early to check what kind of clothes to wear. Guy behind he counter said it be storming out and it might be a risky day. We were stunned by his response and said we wanted to cancel. He said we had to come back in 30 min. We did and the new guy said that was a security guard and he doesn't work for them. I said how were we suppose to know that!! They said it was too late and we missed it and had to pay We explained the the guy we thought was their employee told us it might be risky! They didn't care. They scare people out of their tours and then make them pay. Don't use this company. They are completely unorganized and have people behind their booths that don't work for them but answer for them?!? Absolute garbage company
Our guide Bryan and driver Marco were fantastic! We had plenty of restroom breaks and helpful instructions to make the day seamlessly fun. The bus/van had great air conditioning and was a group of less than 20 so it was manageable and we were given all of the attention and help we needed. Our kids ages range from 10-22 and they all had a blast. The zip line was amazing and is well constructed. Take bug spray! There are tons of mosquitoes up there in the mountains.
It was a lot of fun! The hot springs portion seemed way too long though! Great tour guide! I would recommend it.
Just know this is a full day. We got lucky as it was just our group of five, so it probably went quicker than if you were part of a larger group. We were picked up at the hotel next to ours at 6:45am. To begin, our guide took us down a path to see some monkeys as he knew we wanted to see some animals. The 7 ziplines felt very safe and the guides were very diligent. You slow down with a thick glove but you feel like your in control the entire time. Not too much hiking or walking in between lines. (other than to get to the first one) Our guide actually ziplined ahead of use. Your in some dense mountains so you can see some animals briefly. Next we did a 30 minute horseback ride around a dirt rocky road, just average for our group as we've been a few times before. We then changed into our bathing suits and did the water slide. You'll see the slide when walking up to the ziplines. A painted concrete tube through the jungle. I felt a little nervous to begin but very safe. Your kind of in a tube when you go down and they give you your option of speed. We got to go twice. If you like water slides, this one is long, fast and fun. Lunch was a buffet with plenty of options and was surprising very good. Some down time to take in the surroundings and relax. Next, to the volcanic mud and hot springs. You'll get into a large metal covered tractor seating attachment with padded seats which is pulled by a large John Deer tractor. (Hard to describe but other than very bumpy a little dusty and steep you feel safe) They were leveling the dirt road while we went down, so it's hard to know how smooth they get road after the rainy season. They give towels and the facility is like a spa in the jungle. You go into a sauna to open your pores, then rub on the volcanic mud then wait until it dries. (No mud baths if your a "SUITS" show person) Take a cold shower to rinse off the mud and spend some time relaxing in the 5 hot springs. The springs are similar to large concrete hot subs (fed by the volcanic waters) which flow into one another and are varying temperatures. We were here for about 2 hours. You can have a drink and relax between if you like. Very laid back. We were in the flamingo area so the trip there and back is around 2 hours Each Way. We are beach people so we wanted to get our sight seeing done and this was an excellent way to accomplish that. Our guide Jorge was unbelievable. Spoke good English and gave us so much info about Costa Rica throughout the entire day. He made the trip very special. That being said, if we were on a bus with 15/20 other people if may take away from how intimate it felt. We were very happy to see and experience everything. Not sure of the tipping protocol but I gave him and the driver $100 tip.
Thanks so much for taking your time to review! We are glad that you enjoy our country and our services. Hope to host you again soon!
We loved the variety of acitivities with the excursion. Zipline and hot springs were our favorites. JFYI, from Tamarindo the shuttle bus was approximately 3 hours one way, but we would do it again.
This tour was very fun and educational. Our tour guide, Sofia, was knowledgeable, professional, energetic and funny. The transportation was comfortable and clean. A day before the tour, we were contacted to confirm our reservation and we were sent a reminder of everything that we needed to bring. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Costa Rica and have a full day of outdoor activities.
