Your adventure begins at Handwerkerhof (Craftyard), an enclosed shopping village where you can learn about traditional crafts and trade that became popular during the Middle Ages. Your Expert Guide will tell you all about the medieval way of life as you explore the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, admiring its medieval and Gothic monuments.
Enhance your medieval adventure with an entry to St. Lorenz Church (also known as St. Lawrence). This 15th-century Evangelical church is Nuremberg’s most renowned Gothic structure, filled with stunning artworks such as the Greeting from the Angels (1517/1518) by Veit Stoss, masterpieces of late Gothic sculpture by Adam Kraft, and Numerous altars with carvings and paintings. It’s a must-see treasure trove of medieval art!

You will learn about the 4 pillars that gave Nuremberg its wealth and authority during the Middle Ages as you pass the Main Market, City Hall and the Old Town Hall. The tour will end in the courtyards of the Imperial Castle, which is considered to be one of Europe’s most formidable medieval fortifications.

Our tour guide Joe was fantastic, he paced the tour really well to allow us to look at things and take breaks if needed. He even helped us get a Bratwurst roll as we got a bit peckish along the way!
