Medellin Coffee Tour & Spa

I really liked this place when I first visited. The tour was good, the views were beautiful, and the people on the farm were welcoming. After the tour, I tried to support them by ordering 10 kilos of cascara. That’s where everything changed. I paid, but the product never arrived. When I asked about it, I was told they didn’t have the amount they sold me and to take coffee instead. I asked for a refund, and at first the seller agreed and asked for my bank details. After that, everything turned into delays, mixed messages, and long stretches of “I don’t understand,” even when I sent him his own screenshot where he clearly acknowledged the refund. Months later, I’m still trying to get my money back. I’m not writing this to attack the farm, but travelers should know that buying anything after the tour can turn into a problem. If someone can take payment this easily and avoid a simple refund, it raises questions about how they handle other situations. I hope they fix this so future visitors don’t go through what I did.

We had the best Saturday traveling to (yes! It’s quite a journey on trains, metro cables, cute colorful vans) and attending a tour on this beautiful property!! The spa is EVERYTHING!! The massage and the sauna were my favorite!! Learning about how coffee is grown, planting my own tree, making fresh coffee was an experience! Don’t miss out! Book it and enjoy!!

Aníbal was a fantastic guide as he took us on a journey to explore the wonderful world of coffee from multiple aspects that it can be enjoyed. He first gave us instructions on where to meet, and what we had to do prior to get be able to travel with him via the metro. He then picked us up at the metro station, and we went 1.5 hours going up through the metro and cable cars, witnessing the beauty of Medellin and it’s surrounding areas, and my partner and I loved it! We then reached a town on the outskirts of Medellin where we waiting for a VERY colorful mini-bus to pick us up to go the remote site down the hill. Going down, we got to witness more of the incredible view of Medellin, and but this time, more personal and intimate as it was a secluded path. We then get to the farm, and see the colorful landscape from the buildings as well as the greenery from the foliage, and we were mesmerized! We then walk down to the main restaurant area, which was nice and spacious, with such nicely-designed architecture all throughout, even in the rooms they offer as AirBnBs! Definitely would recommend anyone to stay here for a few days to get away! Then he shares with us the freshest coffee on tap in the garden, and we’re blown away, with how slightly sweet and naturally fruity it was, not bitter at all. He then lets us know to change for the different accommodations they have like the Coffee Sauna, Natural Cold Bath with water from the local lake, and the Massage with Coffee Scrub, and within seconds, we were excited! In short, we did all of theme and the experience was to die for, and our skin ended up SO SOFT! We then proceeded in the coffee tour with Aníbal, and he gave us such insightful knowledge on the history of coffee production in Colombia, and the process on farming and making it. This included us using some of their tools and machinery to learn how they do it, even a nice surprise towards the end of it! Afterwards, he taught us step-by-step how to make our coffee and it was so fun to do and ended up being delicious! We’ll be back in 2 years for sure, this is relevant to the surprise, and would highly recommend to anyone as Don Leandro has created such a specially-curated and wonderfully-designed environment/experience that anyone will love! Based on my review, it sounds like a wonderful experience at the Medellin Coffee Tour & Spa By Finca Cafetera Don Leandro! I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a unique and informative coffee tour combined with spa relaxation.

Everything about the tour was wonderful! Great memories! Spa and steam room were very authentic and rustic. We got to plant our own trees and learn the entire coffee growing process.
