My husband and I took this small group tour and had a really nice time. Our tour guide, Paola, was super knowledgeable about Mazatlan history and we got to see some places tourists don't get to go to, for example the shrimp boats and open shrimp market. You can tell she has a love for Mazatlan as well as a love for cooking/food. We didn’t do any touristy places, all local. Definitely recommend.
This was our favorite experience of our entire Mexican Riviera trip. The tour was the perfect mix of incredible local food, history, and exploring Mazatlán. Our guide Paola was amazing. She shared the history of the city along the way and took us to some of the best local food spots we would never have found on our own. We tried so many delicious things including manta ray stew, birria, tacos, Pacifico beer, and ice cream—everything was authentic, local, and absolutely delicious. We also stopped at several landmarks along the way, which made the tour feel like both a food experience and a way to really learn about Mazatlán. We left completely full of amazing food and new knowledge about the city. If you're visiting Mazatlán, this tour is a MUST DO. And if you can, ask for Paola—she made the experience unforgettable.
If you enjoy good food and learning about the history of Mazatlan, then book this experience. You will not regret it. Paula was a very informative and her love and passion for Mazatlan and the food is infectious, you can't help but to walk away wishing for more.
So fun! So authentic! Tour guide was very knowledgeable … Great way to get your bearings for those new to the city highly recommend!
Great tour with an expansive route. Saw so many things important to Mazatlan and learned alot. The dishes we tasted were amazing and we would never have known where to find these gems. Gabriel was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend for early in your trip!
Very personable and informative tour guide
That was an incredible tour. Paola, the tour guide, takes you to her favourite local eateries. She herself is a foodie and from the city. She know the food, the ingredients and the history. It was beyond my expectation of what the tour would be. I highly recommend this tour.
THANK YOU!!! For the most wonderful tour. It was everything the advertisement promised and exactly what Paula said it would be at the beginning of the tour. I feel we experienced the hidden gems of decades old family run business like a local. Food, history, culture and personal antidotes were woven together in spectacular fashion giving a genuinely immersive experience. It felt like a dear friend was showing us her favorite spots and people! We saw a diverse selection of the city and tasted the local Sinaloa specialties. All the difficult parts directions, parking, safety etc. were taken care in a friendly professional manner. You will savor all the sights and tastes of this tour for years to come!
The overall food tour experience was awesome! I would have never been brave enough to stop and eat from a street vendor until we took this tour. It was fun and educational. I would do the same tour again the next time we are there. Thank you Paola for sharing your passions with us all.
This was an exceptional experience! Our guide was local, and she took us all over the city of Mazatlan, telling us the history and taking us to excellent food locations! Could not have planned a better day in Mazatlan, highly recommend!!
