You will meet & be greeted by our driver/guide, then you are ready to set off for your first stop. You'll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again. Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis-Moka Mountain range.

Ganga Talao is a major draw of crowds in Mauritius, with many people visiting the site to pray meditate, or simply to walk by the lake and enjoy the gorgeous surrounding views. The lake of Ganga Talao is thought to be around 18 meters deep and is teeming with a healthy population of fish and eels.

Exploring Mauritius.

We had a great day with Nasser our driver to explore Mauritius. The car was comfortable and clean and Nasser was a good driver. We received interesting information along the way and at the places we visited. Unfortunately the weather was not great that day but Nasser adjusted the itinerary so that we still could enjoy the tour. We can highly recommend this company and our driver Nasser.

Wonderful tour of beautiful Mauritius with our driver Ajay!

What a wonderful tour of Mauritius! Ajay, our driver was waiting for us at the Cruise Terminal with a sign with our name on it, as promised, at the appropriate time. He made us comfortable in his air conditioned car and we headed off for our first destination. Ajay shared with us the history of Mauritius and many other interesting facts. We visited all the promised locations on the itinerary. Each location was beautiful and very interesting! Our favorite was the Black River Gorges overlook! It is one of the most beautiful valleys I have ever seen! We also enjoyed our visit to the Hindu Temple. Ajay explained about the Hindu Gods and beliefs. We stopped at a lovely restaurant for lunch (at our own expense). The local food was plentiful and delicious! We were able to buy lovely souvenirs at a nice shop. Then back to our ship in good time. This was a fantastic tour and we highly recommend it and especially Ajay!

Great excursion with good driver/guide

Great trip we can absolutely recommend. The AIDA excursion was identically only considerably more expensive and we were of course much more flexible by car.

Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable driver/guide Bilall showed us a beautiful Mauritius. Attentive to our preferences, adjusted the itinerary to include the stop we wanted at Casela. Careful to drop us back at the ship in time, even though the traffic was very busy.

A good introduction to what SW Mauritius has to offer.

Good driver, good conversations and interesting sites, although one of the objectives had to be replaced because of road closure.
