First time in Hawaii, went with my mom. We loved the food and the drinks. The experience was lovely! Great relaxing experience.
The boat was clean. The food was amazing and the servers and the hula dancers were fantastic. If I had to make one criticism, the gentleman who played great guitar and had a great singing voice, was really quiet so even if you were in the middle to the back of the boat on the top end, you wouldn’t be able to really hear him. It also was a really windy day, so maybe I’m not being fair about it but just to let them know to maybe do like a soundtrack or something.
Great sunset, nice boat. Mediocre food and entertainment. The food was bland and room temperature and the entertainment was boring.
Thankfully, there are thousands of other guests who disagree. The food is served hot, we provide a premium open bar, and live entertainment, with Hawaiian music and beautiful hula. Here is a review from another guest who joined this very same sunset cruise. Such a wonderful sunset and dinner cruise. Staff and entertainment (guitarist and hula dancers) were very good. The food was delicious and plentiful the chicken was superb! It was a beautiful night with friendly guests and staff. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience Maui from the water to book with The Pride of Maui tours!!

It was a nice, casual experience. The crew were very nice and the food was good. We lucked out with beautiful weather and a gorgeous sunset (June 9). The wind was a bit wild, so we stayed close to shore making eating dinner easy even though most guests opted to stay down-below out of the gusts. The lone singer and two hula dancers were a nice touch and frankly I enjoyed them more than the full scale luau we attended earlier in our vacation. The drinks were fresh (again MUCH better than our luau) and the food good. There weren't an overwhelming number of food choices, but it was prepared well and plenty of it. Dessert was cheesecake and fruit and again very good. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the ocean. It was a wonderful way to end our stay in Maui.
The sunset was beautiful. The captain knows exactly where to stop the boat to get maximum view of the sunset.
Our Captains and crew are experts for sure. Thanks for joining us and taking time to share.
The crew on this cruise was amazing! Everyone was extremely friendly. The hula dance was a nice touch. There was also live music. The drinks at the open bar were great. The food was also very yummy. They took good care of us. It was the perfect amount of time for a cruise.
It was a great time overall and the food with absolutely delicious. We got pretty good pictures and seats. The crew was very nice and attentive.
Thank You for joining us on the Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise Hawaiian Hula Experience. We are pleased that you found the food to be absolutely delicious. What's not to love about fall off the bone baby back ribs marinated in a lovely pineapple guava glaze. Chef Tania's recipe has been a stable on our cruise for over 20 years. We also serve tender shoyu chicken, paired with oven roasted vegetables, and caramelized coconut sweet potatoes. The lilikoi, mango cheesecake is a home run as well. I am the luckiest boss in the business to have such an amazing team. Thank you for your praise of their attentiveness and care.
If you think you may get motion sick, this is not your dinner cruise. There were about 50 people on our cruise and 6 of them were green and/or vomiting, which makes it hard to enjoy eating dinner if you have any empathy. The dancers were beautiful. The scenery was breathtaking but the food was mediocre. Most people really enjoyed the open bar.
As with any other vessel, floating on the ocean, exposed to mother nature, there are evenings when the wind and or seas state affect guests who are prone to motion sickness. The crew have remedies that work well for most folks. In the case of our flagship Pride of Maui, she is the largest and most stable Maxi Power Catamaran on Maui, offering more space and stability for guests who are prone to motion sickness. There are many guests who love the food which is plentiful and freshly prepared in our own kitchen just minutes from the harbor. We received two 5-star reviews from guests who attended the cruise on the very evening you joined us. One of these reviews was titled "Great Views and Food". We serve fall off the bone baby back ribs marinated overnight in a pineapple, guava glaze. Tender and juicy shoyu chicken compliments the ribs, and both pair nicely with oven roasted veggies, and caramelized coconut sweet potatoes. Guests enjoy mango lilikoi cheesecake with fresh fruit for dessert.
Very lovely we laughed and we ate and we enjoyed the water and waves. 10/10 will hopefully repeat yay
We are so pleased that we exceeded your expectations on our Maui Sunset Dinner cruise Hawaiian Hula Experience. Mahalo for the 10 out of 10 review!
