- Heliport and helicopter are wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair lift is available at base to assist boarding.
- Children 23 months and younger are complimentary and considered a lap child.
- Check-in is 45min prior to tour time. This allows for guest weight check-in, a safety briefing, and to be escorted and seated on the aircraft to ensure an on-time departure. You will receive confirmation of tour time after booking. Late arrivals will not be accepted and non-refundable. It is the guest responsibility to allow ample travel time to our bases in case of traffic delays.
- For each guest weighing over 240 pounds (108 kg), an adjacent empty seat is required to safely balance the aircraft. The second seat charge is half off of the regular tour price. Please arrange your additional seat after booking.
- Tour sights vary depending on weather.
- Gratuity is not included and is left to individual discretion.
- You must wear dark colored clothing so not to reflect in photos.
- You should bring a credit card for optional video/photo packages and souvenirs at heliport. Cash is not accepted.
- No scuba diving within 24-hours of tour departure
- Bags, large cameras, extending selfie sticks are not allowed in the helicopter.

Went today February 24th for the last flight around Maui and Molokai with the landing on the side of Haleakalā. Incredible experience, first time in a helicopter and we couldnt have been more stoked on it. Chris was a top notch pilot, smooth operator and a great tour guide along the ride. Favourite “excursion” I’ve done. If you can afford it I highly recommend it.
No other way to truly experience Maui and all the beauty it holds. Our pilot, Tim was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We saw whales, turtles and manta rays!
This was such a great tour and I recommend getting the video afterwards. It’s such a great way to relive the experience, take in the grand scenery and wildlife encounters, and learn more from the pilot’s outstanding narrative.
The helicopter tour was a lifetime GREAT experience. We had 6 passengers, a thorough orientation before takeoff, and an exceptional pilot who gave us so much great information we would have happily talked with him all day.
Wow wow wow! Absolutely loved this flight. Can’t say enough about the safety, the beautiful trip and our pilot Derrick. Not only did we get everything we anticipated but saw extraordinary things such as whales and waterfalls. Our pilot made sure everyone was comfortable with his manoeuvres etc. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions. I would love to do the Hana flight next and will definitely ask for Derrick!

I had high hopes for a memorable birthday celebration on August 20th, 2023, when I booked the Big Island Spectacular Tour for six people with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control forced my wife, Maribel, to miss this event due to an emergency situation. In light of this unforeseen circumstance, I approached Blue Hawaiian Helicopters with a reasonable request – to reschedule the tour or receive credit for a future visit for my wife . To my dismay, their response was nothing short of appalling. The company exhibited a complete lack of empathy, an utter disregard for customer service, and an unwavering focus on their own financial gain.The celebration I had envisioned for my birthday was supposed to be a joyous and memorable occasion. I had hoped that Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, as a service provider in the hospitality industry, would comprehend the significance of accommodating such a reasonable request, especially during times of crisis. Instead, they chose to prioritize their bottom line over customer satisfaction. A successful business should be built on a foundation of not only profitability but also genuine care for its customers. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, in this instance, failed miserably in both respects. I urge anyone considering their services to think twice, as this company's astonishing lack of empathy and refusal to assist customers in difficult situations can swiftly transform a potentially wonderful experience into a nightmare. My birthday celebration was marred by this disheartening experience, and I sincerely hope that this review serves as a warning to prospective customers. Furthermore, I implore Blue Hawaiian Helicopters to reflect on their approach to customer service and consider implementing the necessary improvements to ensure that others do not endure the same disheartening experience that I did.
Blue hawaiian helicopters Maui spectacular One of a kind experience to see Maui close and upfront. Views are unreal. Waterfalls, ocean, and best of all, descriptions of all, including history. Derek is an excellent pilot. There were six of us including Derek, my daughter and son in law paid extra to sit in front, along side pilot. Blue Hawaiian helicopter staff very courteous. None of us got motion sickness, but we did take Dramamine the nite before, and half of a dramamine the morning of. Thanks Derek! I will use Blue Hawaiian helicopters on any of the islands that they fly again.
