Amazing tour and delicious food! Tour guide did a fabulous job! My family with 3 children enjoyed it very much.
It’s a tour that made me discover real Marseille specialties and the Mediterranean atmosphere of the city! Our guide was able to explain to us the city's past and the history of the dishes we tasted! A real plus because Marseille has a complex and cosmopolitan history.
I planned a solo trip to Marseille, and this tour was the most perfect addition! The stops are very perfectly planned out: giving you time, good portions, and wonderful insight into the area and the cuisine. Rocio was the best guide; she was super knowledgeable and friendly, and even gave restaurant recommendations for the rest of my time in Marseille. If you want to meet people, try amazing food, with amazing views -- do this tour!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable. We tasted French pastries, taste of local cuisine, local red wine and some African snack. The black vanilla ice cream was also very tasty.
Just wanted to say that our tour with Rocia was by far the Best of our entire cruise from Barcelona to NYC!!! She was so in tune with our needs and led us through the town with poise and information.. The roof top pizza was the highlight of the tour for sure... I would HIGHLY recommend Rocia for anyone who is looking at this tour for sure. Bring your appetite as there is lots of food!!! Sean and Corrine, Canada...
We had a really excellent tour with Rocio. The tour was curated to our pace and Rocio gave us a very informed history of Marseille, pointed out notable buildings and architecture, along the way to our various stops. One highlight was the roof top restaurant we visited with a spectacular view of the city. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marseille.
Absolutely the highlight of our stay in Marseille. Our guide Sophie was hands-down fabulous, knowledgeable and fun. Perfect mix of traditional, eclectic and up-and-coming Marseille, with stories to go with it all.
The tour guide was very friendly but we spent much of this tour being herded into stores to go shopping. At one point we walked right past the opera house without a single mention of it but spent half an hour in a soap shop. I had no interest in shopping and spent much of the tour standing around outside stores waiting for everyone it was very disappointing. The food stops we had were lovely though. I did several walking food tours in various cities on this vacation and this was the only one I did not enjoy.
We were five middle-aged Danish guys on the tour, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Sofie, half Marseillaise and half Swedish, brought the Scandinavian sense of “Hygge” alongside her pride and passion for Marseille. Tasty food, local encounters, and great tips for the rest of our stay made it a truly memorable experience, which we all highly recommend.
More than a food tour, this was like visiting the favorite places of a Marseille resident and having lunch with a friend. Rocio also gave us plenty of her recommendations for other restaurants to try and places to visit to get the best out of Marseille. I wish we’d done this tour on the first day of our visit !!
