Our driver was Sliman, communicated pickup time with us efficiently and he was a safe driver. Our tour guide was Mustapha, also communicated pickup time efficiently and was on time. Just a few downfalls of the trip to keep in mind The description states breakfast included. This was not a breakfast. We made a stop at a argan oil shop on the way, were they tell you how it is made. This is part of all trips (well the ones we did, took us to one). The "breakfast" was bread a three of their oils to try. Not a breakfast as we expected. This is not so much of a downfall, but just to make some people aware that the first 20 to 30 minutes of the hike is uphill. So if you have some health issues or struggle with your breathing, just keep this in mind. However after this the hike is downhill, with a few steep steps up to the second waterfall. Lunch is not included. At the start we were told we would be stopping for a tagine lunch somewhere, assuming it would be a restaurant, however it felt like we stopped at the guides relatives house and were told to sit down and food was brought out. We had no option really, even If some of the group weren't hungry or the food was not to their liking. At the end we were all told to pay 100 dirhim each despite what people had or had not eaten. The description states no lunch included, however eru 6 next to it and we paid much more. If we had walked another 10/15 minutes we would have reached the main road where all the restaurant are and choosen our own lunch at less then half that price. Lastly, the guide is on a time crunch hence often ahead of some of the group. So he was unaware of some of the group lossing their way briefly and I slipped and fell on the rocks near the waterfall and he was unaware of this. Luckily my partner was with me. As they say, you are as good as the last person and the guide did not have this in mind. Otherwise the waterfalls were amazing to see.
We didn’t quite know what we signed ourselves up for, but we’re so happy we booked this tour. We had a private driver and van up to the Atlas Mountains, where our hiking guide (Mustapha) met us and helped take us up the mountain. And this is no small feat, since we had two kids (9 & 6) with us. But Mustapha took amazing care of the kids and stuck with them to ensure they were supported over challenging terrain and also kept them focused by jogging up the hill at times! We saw beautiful waterfalls, lots of sheep, wound through narrow and steep steps, but our guide was right there with us the whole time. We graciously had tea with his family, and concluded the tour with a fantastic chicken tagine in a restaurant overlooking the villages. He even helped us source local cherries from the street vendors, which were delicious! We could not recommend this tour and this specific guide more!! A challenging but do-able adventure, even for families with kiddos.
This was a great trip where I learned a lot thanks to Mustapha. He was really great and was willing to wait to cater to our needs. The views were stunning as well. I would recommend to every traveler to highly book this tour. I was a solo female traveler and I felt safe and made friends as well!! Our driver Redouane was great too, drove very smoothly and got us to ever destination safely and in a timely manner.
Great experience! Our guide, Mustapha, and driver, Redouan, did a wonderful job! This is a great chance to get outside the city for the day and enjoy the beautiful Atlas Mountains. Absolutely would recommend! Easy-medium difficulty hike depending on fitness.
I thought this tour was great for seeing life in the countryside. The vans had plenty of space and air conditioning. The roads are scenic and there is a lot to see and excellent vistas.
Great discovery of the Atlas Mountains and stunning views. Our driver Said was punctual and helpful. Our guide was extremely caring and good company = one of us being injured at the ankle, he managed to find ways to make the trek at times challenging still possible. The tagine lunch was not included in the price and we felt pushed to have it despite not being hungry. After further considerations because our guide was very friendly, we decided to have it … and it was absolutely delicious! A great day to remember.
Walk requiring average physical condition but inaccessible for people with walking difficulties. To be specified in the description
Our driver Said was very helpful, accomodating and gave an excellent introduction to the Berber history, area and culture. Our lovely guide Mustpha took us on a hike through several Berber villages, culminating at a waterfall. His knowledge made it a very interesting walk which was ended by a traditional delicious lunch in a Berber house. We are left with great memories of a wonderful day in the picturesque Atlas Mountains. Thank you Said and Mustpha.
This is a very easy and inexpensive way to visit the Atlas Mountains. All the arrangements worked well, with a good driver and guide. The walking is relatively easy. The views are amazing and the waterfall impressive. Lunch in a Berber house was good too. A good trip and I can recommend it
The actual experience was good. However we were told water would be provided so we only took one bottle each. I had to buy more at the waterfalls as it was a very hot day. We were also told we would have breakfast do we didn’t eat before the trip. We were not offered food until the end of the trip which was lunch time. The foid was lovely but it was it breakfast.
