This trail will help you explore the beautiful lanes & suburbs of Margao on foot that come alive with a local narrating stories and legends of the town with a last stop for some local delicacies. Today’s cultural walk in Margao was truly a memorable and enriching experience. The journey beautifully captured the essence of the town. A perfect blend of vibrant everyday life and deep rooted history. What made the experience special was how seamlessly different cultures, faiths, and stories coexist here. Walking through Margao felt like stepping into living history, where every street and structure has a story to tell. This wasn’t just a walk, but a soulful experience that gave a deeper understanding of Margao’s heritage, spirit, and identity. Truly worth experiencing.
We had an amazing insight into the history of Goa and the culture which shaped the city and homes of the people. Some of the 500 year old houses are beautifully preserved with people still living in them. Our host was very knowledgeable and kept the walking tour engaging and interesting!
We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Cultural City Walk in Margao with Soul Travelling. Our young guide, Medora, was fantastic—she was so nice, highly informative, and led the entire tour with real aplomb despite the intense heat and humidity. When we mentioned our passion for photography, she went above and beyond by flexibly adjusting our route to include a walk through the vibrant fish and vegetable market. It was a perfect, personalized touch that gave us exactly the kinds of shots we were hoping for. Highly recommend booking with Soul Travelling and asking for Medora!

Intelligently crafted and a very heartfelt walk through Margao with Pankaj who is a stellar storyteller. The walk is well-timed, reasonably priced, and can be a good starting point to loiter in Margao
Highly recommended to spend the evening with the beautiful Soul Traveling guys! Our guide Panku was very friendly, interested and did everything to make us enjoy the walk, engage in conversation, introduce, question and tell a lot about his culture and city. We had a great time, a tour in the Angdian language, but to understand very deep knowledge is not required, in any case you will enjoy) except for a walk, we were treated to drinks and snacks, gifted souvenirs and taken to a pleasant shop (no imposition). I liked it!)

Could not have been better. Very knowledgeable about history and current traditions in Goa and Madgao. A fun friendly and laid-back experience with room to ask questions. The food at the end was great too.
We'd recommend this tour. Our guide, Panku, was an enthusiastic local student with great knowledge of the culture and traditions of the area. We certainly wouldn't have found fascinating detail, such as ancient oyster shell windows, without this tour.
