This private experience combines the historical layers of Marbella’s Old Town with an intimate exploration of the Contemporary Spanish Engraving Museum, housed in the 16th-century Palacio Bazán. Part I - The Old Town: Layers of History Your experience begins in Marbella’s charming casco antiguo, where narrow streets still follow the footprint of its Islamic medina. Beyond dates and monuments, you will gain context — understanding how geography, trade and culture shaped the town’s identity. Part II – The Contemporary Engraving Museum The second part of the experience takes place inside the Palacio Bazán, a remarkable Renaissance building that now hosts one of Spain’s most specialised collections dedicated to contemporary engraving. Great early afternoon tour learning about Marbella. Javier our host showed us the great contrast between the modern Marbella city and coastal area to the ancient old town tucked right in the middle. We explored the narrow streets and alleyways, saw 16th century palaces and chapels, learned the unique history and got great insight on what to do after our tour. Plaza de los Naranjas was so cool. The afternoon concluded with an olive oil tasting where we sampled close to 20 premium varieties. Absolutely loved it and Javier was great. Highly recommend.

Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and gave very good info on the history but also was very flexible to take us to areas of old town that were very fun to see. Was here during the holidays and he took us to some of the spots that were decorated. The private olive oil tasting was one of the highlights of our trip

Our tour Eva Mairena was personable and knowledgeable. We learned many interesting facts about Marbella’s history. The two hour duration was the right amount of time. And ending the tour with an olive oil tasting experience was perfect!
