Great tour!

Nelton was our fabulous guide on this city tour! My husband and I were able to see a charming local’s market, the train station, the Catholic Cathedral, the Fortress, an art studio, the wedding palace, and so much more. Highly recommend…don’t let hawkers bother you, just say, “No, thanks” and keep walking.

Operator response

Dear Deborah, Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear that Nelton provided such a fabulous experience for you and your husband. It’s great that you enjoyed the variety of the tour. We also appreciate you sharing that tip for future travelers regarding the local hawkers staying focused on the beauty of the city is definitely the way to go! We hope to welcome you back to Maputo again soon. Best regards, Aylton

Poor organization,...

Poor organisation, delay No wifi on the bus as described Tour guide later boarded No precise information on how long stops will be made and meeting point Different providers strung together, simply divided into buses, the rine paid more or less than the other. Provider Essential Maputo Tours

Operator response

Dear Marion, Thank you for providing your feedback regarding your tour. We sincerely apologize that we did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the lack of Wi-Fi. To ensure all our guests could depart on time, we had to add an additional bus to our fleet at the last minute. Unfortunately, this backup vehicle was not equipped with the standard Wi-Fi we usually provide. We realize how important this amenity is for our travelers and regret that we were unable to have it ready for this specific departure. We are currently reviewing our coordination processes to ensure our backup options meet the same high standards as our primary fleet. We value your business and would appreciate the chance to welcome you back in the future for the seamless experience we are known for. If you have any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly through the Viator messaging system. Best regards, Aylton

It’s totally underwhelming for the cost. For what I paid I expected more. The tour says tour of Maputo and Mozambique, yet it take you to some 4 areas in Maputo

Operator response

Dear Sello Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that your experience was underwhelming for the cost. However, we would like to clarify a few points regarding your tour. Our 'Maputo and Mozambique City Tour' typically includes visits to 12 distinct locations, not just four, as stated in your review. The tour duration is also consistently at least 4 hours and 30 minutes, allowing ample time to experience each site. During your specific tour, we recall making additional stops, such as at the Botanical Gardens where we paused to observe a wedding. We also made an extra trip back to the Iron House to exchange a stick that your wife had purchased and unfortunately broke at the train station. These extra stops were made to accommodate your needs and enhance your experience. We strive to provide a comprehensive and valuable tour experience, and we regret that this was not fully recognized in your review. We are always working to improve our services and appreciate your feedback. Regards Aylton
