We had an amazing time with our guide Luis Pena! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the rainforest. We wouldn’t have seen any of the animals without Luis and his telescope! He went at a comfortable pace, answered all of our questions, and made sure we saw the animals we wanted to see—like the sloths and monkeys. It was an amazing experience to have with our two kids!

Our guide, Alex, was exceptional. We did a mid-day tour of Manuel Antonio NP and he pointed out any amazing amount of stuff. Very knowledgeable. The meeting point is a little chaotic, but there’s a lot going on in the area.

Good experience, Luís Roberto guided us and explained the park very well, we were able to photograph the animals we saw with his telescope (and our phones), and despite going with small children, everything went well. We saw many animals, although we only saw one sloth from afar.

My wife and kids (age 7 and 9) and I really enjoyed our early morning private tour at Manuel Antonio National Park. Our guide was Nicole, and she was great--very personable and knowledgeable. With her help, we were able to see a couple sloths, a snake, an agouti, a deer, a basilisk, a white ibis, howler monkeys and more. She had lots of interesting info for us about the different animals and their behaviors. She also had great recommendations for us about where to try snorkeling (far end of Manuel Antonio beach near the rocks), and which restaurant to eat at afterwards (El Chante). We got the private tour so we could get picked up at our hotel, since it was so early. They basically just had a taxi service pick us up, which was fine, and punctual. We were able to coordinate our pick up time for later in the afternoon, which was nice--so we could explore the beaches at the park on our own after the tour. It was a different taxi driver in the afternoon. It was hot and humid, and we were all sweating like crazy, but there are water stations throughout the park--so highly recommend bringing a non-disposable water bottle (no plastic bottles allowed in).

Stephanie, was a wonderful guide. She was able to spot wildlife throughout the park. We had our own private tour which was perfect. She showed us sloths, agouti, deer, bats, Fer-de-lance, crabs, puffer bird, colorful grass hoppers and much more. She made sure our 5 year old daughter was able to see all the wildlife first. Very accommodating and did not rush us through the park. Meet up was on time and easy to find. Would highly recommend!!

The tour was wonderful and our guide was fabulous. He explained everything incredibly well and, besides that, he answered all the questions that came up for us, including those regarding the history of Costa Rica. It has been an experience we will never forget.
Señores(as) Muchas Gracias por participar en nuestro tour naturalista en el Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio. Además, agradezco su reconocimiento a mi trabajo . Saludos cordiales, Yanan Rojas
Our guide picked us up at the agreed-upon point, explained the tour to us, and thanks to her we were able to see quite a few animals; the park is very large and each guide can choose their own path, perhaps in my opinion we could have walked for longer but she was very kind and professional. Afterward you can stay on the beaches for as long as you want........ but, here is a problem, you cannot bring in any food, nothing at all, they check your backpacks and then inside there is nothing to eat, only to have some snack or drink, so since you do the tour at 8 in the morning, you have eaten breakfast at 7 and after 3 hours you are hungry and cannot eat anything, you must leave the beach to go eat and once you leave the park you cannot enter again.
Saludos cordiales, Yanan Rojas
Our tour with Luis Roberto was great. He was friendly, funny, and—for his young age—very competent. He took a lot of time to answer our questions and explain everything to us. We were a small group of eight people with varying levels of English, but that was no problem. As promised, we saw all the animals we wanted to see. Thank you, Luis!

Really enjoyed today’s tour with Luis Roberto. He was friendly, funny, knowledgable and had loads of time to answer questions and point everything out. Small group of 8 people all with different levels of English but this wasn’t a problem. We were promised that we’d see 20 creatures and we definitely did………and that wasn’t just 20 ants!!! The rainbow crab was my favourite. Gracias Luis Roberto.
