Overall the evening was very enjoyable. We boarded the boat at 6.30pm and we quickly had out drinks order taken (drinks aren't included in the price). We had the Thai menu which had food such as spring rolls, spicy shrimp soup, green curry, etc. on it which was very tasty although not extraordinary. The boat itself was unique amongst the other large modern white dinner cruise boats, which I preferred. It was more traditional and cosy. One criticism is that despite the fans and being outside, the boat was still quite hot for the first half of the trip. The highlight of the cruise was the traditional Thai dancers who performed on the way back to the pier. I would recommend this experience to anyone who prefers a more traditional and peacful experience. I had an amazing time!
Hi Joy, We thank you for booking our Wan Fah Dinner Cruise and we appreciate your remarks which we will pass on to the team at Wan Fah. Regards, Nick
Very good show with music and a nice visit from the Chao Praya point of view, a lack of historic commentary about the monuments seen during the Tour maybe, or local incentives
Hello Marco, Yes you are correct, the Wan Fah is a very good cruise down the river and we glad you enjoyed this, Regards, Nick
It was more than I expected. I'm so glad I decided to take this rather than the big boats. The tour was very special cause there's less people and less noisy than the big boats. They even have special performances like traditional dances. The food isn't that great though.
Dear S554XHeduardoa, Thanks for sharing your views with readers of Tripadvisor.com. We are extremely happy to read that the Wan Fah Dinner Cruise was very special and more than you expected. Kind regards, Christopher Product Manager - Tours & Activities Online I Asia Group
The boat was very ornate. The food was surprisingly delicious and plentiful. The dancing was interesting, a little more explanation of the meaning and history would have been nice. Also most sights are seen from the right side of the boat with seating pre assigned. Perhaps a chance to pay more for the right side could be offered.
Inside it is quite old and nothing takes care of the Service or the table or the dishes, the bad food. The show is very good, dance many pieces and change clothes and hairstyles several times, a girl plays live a nice instrument The girl trying to explain in English what we're seeing, you better put a recording because she has no idea They give you dinner on the jetty just as something horrible comes in everyone the railings looking Lasts 1 hour upriver seeing the temples at night and 1 hour back The boat is beautiful on the outside and is what sells because inside it has nothing taken care of the decoration Although I prefer this boat than the modern nightclubs and even if they have buffet in these places it is never good food

Wan Fah Dinner Cruise Along Chao Phraya River While staying in Bangkok we booked an early evening cruise, we made our own way to River City to pick up the cruise. The office and quay side staff were friendly and helpful. The authentic style boat was a pleasant sight compared with some of the current elegant cruisers performing the same service. The entertainment Thai dancers, was fitting and interesting as ore the wonderful illuminated sights along the river. Unfortunately the cuisine and expensive wine costs put a damper on the proceedings. You are given a choice of Thai or seafood menus we had pre booked the seafood which was dry and over cooked, some of which ended back in the river. On reflection we had a pleasant evening marred by the food so on that basis I would be reluctant to recommend this Dinner Cruise.
Dear Jon, Thank you for your review on the Wan Fah Dinner Cruise. This dinner cruise is one of the most popular dinner cruises at the moment and gets amazing reviews for their food and service. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy the food. I spoke to the reservation manager who has checked on the night and there were no comments or complains to the wait staff or the manager on board about your food. They would have changed this immediately if this was not to your liking and reported to the team. Appreciate your comments and thank you. Regards, Nick
