Needed a rest from walking everywhere, so the bus was a good choice. We were given a map of where we would be heading and places of interest. Lasted just over an hour and gave us a few ideas of places to visit if in the area again. Informative without being too long winded.
Serene sharing, interesting places, very beautiful new and ancient sites, lovely staff. Practical and useful way for the first day in Manchester.
An Inspiring Tour Filled with the Deep, Enriching History of Manchester. I highly recommend this Manchester city tour to anyone visiting the city
Great way to see the history behind Manchester. Very informative.
Waited for bus didn't turn up and no clear signs to say where bus picks up drops off
Sorry to hear about your experience but I don't understand how you've not managed to find the bus on the day you travelled. Stop 1 is located outside BRIDGEWATER HOTEL which is marked on your Viator/Tripadvisor ticket but also on our website, facebook page etc and a Google search brings this up as well. Your ticket also shows the journey you were booked on. Where were you attempting to get on the bus??
Terrible. None of the locals at key places knew where the bus stops were... Salford Cathedral, People's Museum, Indigo Hotel...so we couldn't get on the bus. Yesterday, we did the Glasgow hop on hop off bus....highly visible bus stops. 2 kiwis with 24 hours in Manchester left very disappointed.
Our website details the starting point and all stops and this information also on TripAdvisor portal too and (should be) on your e-ticket. We carry thousands of passengers each year - I'm sorry that you could n't find the info on where to join the tour but there's lots of information online that a Google search will find you.
I discovered when I got in the bus that I could have got my ticket in the bus for half the price Viator charged
Everything good , my family came to visit Manchester and they liked the tour, everyone was happy …….
Great way to see the city. Easy to book online nd resonably priced for just over and hour. Good clear commentary. Busy but not packed. Perfect half term activity.
This is the worse sightseeing bus that I have ever been, and I have been in many. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review for a sightseeing bus, but it was so bad that I had to make this review. I took this bus unfortunately in Manchester on October 2, 2025. The driver was the unfriendliest person, in a really bad mood, with curt responses, not even when directly asked about the times for pick up. He pretty much told us the wrong time. The times for the pick up in between stops were huge so it was a lot of waiting time in between sites. Idk if there are more busses going around but for us was always the same driver, so it looked like it was only one bus going around. The bus was old, and the explanations were done aloud with bad speakers so it was difficult to understand. Specially for someone that English is not their first language and are paying for a guided tour for obvious reasons. They don’t provide earphones with explanations translated in different language. Overall the experience was really bad. Don’t waste your money on this. I ended taking an uber to get back to my hotel because the waiting time was unbearable..
