Terrance is an amazing person and terrific guide. His whole demeanor shows he genuinely cares for the area and the people he is sharing it with. Would love to visit with him and TL again.
I took my 9 year old daughter on this tour to see manatee and dolphin up close from a kayak. Our guide, Brian was awesome. He made it educational and fun for my daughter and he was able to spot things that we would have never noticed. Everything was perfect and I'm glad we chose to go with this company for our tour. I'm looking forward to doing the bioluminescence tour next!
We had an excellent tour and saw lots of manatees… Jeremiah was our guide and he is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and trees/plants in the area. He did a great job!!!
We had Brian as our tour guide and he did not disappoint!! He was incredible! He was full of fun facts, guided us with our bird watching and led us to coves of manatees that swam around us. A dolphin even greeted us as we entered the water. He has such love and respect for nature and the life it holds, as well as his job of sharing it with the public, that it made it even more beautiful. Thank you for the beautiful family memories, Brian!! Love, the lady with the manatee nails and her family!!
Terence gave a wonderful tour! We got to see many manatees and even manatee babies! They came right up to the kayaks! Terence provided information on the area’s history too and provided a comfortable space to ask questions and enjoy the animals and nature around us. Highly recommended especially with Terence!
4 adults/family outing. All had a great time. Brian was our guide. He was friendly and informative. He shared details about the water, plants, wildlife and history and folklore of the area and also gave us time to enjoy the quiet.
I promise it will not disappoint! We saw tons of Manatees and spotted dolphins and beautiful birds. It was such a pleasure to learn from Terrence, he was so knowledgeable. Rumor has it, all the tour guides are fabulous but I’m certain Terrence couldn’t be outdone! We are a family of seven with children ranging from 5 yrs to 14 yrs and the accommodations were spot on. This was the perfect activity for our whole fam. Thanks again!
Terrance was an amazing. Full of information, and knowledge, we really enjoyed are time on the water watching the manatees. Very patient with us, and very aware of the surroundings. The length of time was wonderful, but I love being on the water. If you want to book a great adventure,I highly recommend them. Thank you from Wisconsinites.. Jenni
Well, maybe not walk on water, but Terence did an amazing job with our kayak tour today. He took the time in the beginning to explain to us about the history of Merritt Island to give us a greater appreciation of where we were and what we were going to see. And in short order, we were in a manatee hotspot with lots of activity. From there, we paddled to another area to hopefully see some dolphins and as if on que, there was a male dolphin swimming back and forth for 10-15 minutes before we headed back to shore. My family has been on several kayak tours over the years and this one was by far the best yet. Thank you, Terence!
I had an absolutely unforgettable experience kayaking with Florida Adventurer at Bird Island near the Haulover Kayak Launch. This wasn’t just a tour—it felt like being immersed in a living, breathing ecosystem with someone who truly respects and understands it. One of the highlights was seeing flamingos in their natural habitat—something I never expected to witness so closely. What stood out most was how Brian carefully observed their behavior and ensured we gave them extra space if there was any sign of disturbance. He was deeply respectful of the posted protections around Bird Island, which I genuinely appreciated. It’s clear conservation comes first. As if that wasn’t incredible enough, we also encountered manatees—including a baby that came right up to my kayak. It was one of those rare, magical moments you can’t plan for. Brian’s knowledge of the wildlife, the land, and the water was exceptional. He shared insights throughout the trip that made everything we saw even more meaningful. And for any photographers out there—be ready! This was by far the most challenging wildlife photography I’ve ever attempted. Between the wind and current, you’re constantly moving—but that just adds to the adventure and makes capturing those moments even more rewarding. All in all, an amazing, memorable experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for something truly special and authentic.
