If you travel back with the host, the full experience lasts about four hours round-trip.

Itinerary
We begin at Copenhagen Central Station, a historic and bustling hub that connects the city. Let’s dive into its story and set the tone for our exploration.
We cross the Øresund Bridge by train – Sit back and enjoy the smooth, comfortable and almost silent 40-minute ride from Copenhagen to Malmö. The modern train takes us across the impressive Øresund Bridge, linking Denmark and Sweden with stunning views of the strait. Your train ticket is included in the tour price.
The Knotted Gun (Non-Violence Sculpture), One of Malmö’s most iconic landmarks, located outside the central station. This powerful bronze sculpture shows a revolver with its barrel tied in a knot, symbolizing peace and non-violence. Created by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd, it has become a global icon with versions displayed in cities around the world. The Malmö sculpture is a reminder of Sweden’s commitment to peace and dialogue.
Gamla Väster – This charming old quarter is one of Malmö’s most picturesque areas, with colorful historic houses, cobblestone streets, art galleries, and cozy cafés. For centuries, Malmö was part of Denmark, and in Gamla Väster you can still feel the Danish influence in the architecture and street layout. Once threatened by demolition in the 1960s, the area was preserved and today it’s one of the city’s most attractive districts, blending history, creativity, and a relaxed local vibe.
Malmöhus Castle (Malmöhus Slott) – We will pass by Scandinavia’s oldest preserved Renaissance castle, built by the Danish king Christian III in the 1500s. Once a royal residence and fortress, later a prison, today it houses Malmö Museum with exhibitions on history, art, and natural science. Surrounded by a moat and green parks, the castle is one of Malmö’s most important landmarks and a must-see from the outside.
A classic Dutch-style windmill set inside leafy Slottsparken, a short walk from Malmöhus Castle and the organic Slottsträdgården. We pause here for a short story about Malmö’s canals, fortress and garden culture, plus a relaxed photo stop with the mill, bridges and water as backdrop.
We take a walk through Malmö’s beautiful Slottsparken, a green oasis surrounding the old castle. With its canals, bridges, and lush gardens, the park is a favorite spot for both locals and visitors. It’s the perfect place to enjoy nature while discovering the city’s history.
At the heart of Malmö lies Stortorget, the city’s grand main square from the 16th century. Surrounded by historic buildings, including Malmö City Hall, it has long been the center of public life. Today, it’s a lively meeting point where history, architecture, and local culture come together.
This charming cobblestone square is one of Malmö’s most beloved spots. Dating back to the late 1500s, it’s surrounded by well-preserved half-timbered houses and filled with cafés, bars, and restaurants. A vibrant place where history meets the city’s modern social life.
We end the tour with a cozy Swedish fika at Ruths café close by Lilla Torg, where coffee and a pastry are included in the price. Guests who wish to stay in Malmö will receive their train tickets in hand, while those returning to Copenhagen travel back together with the host.
