Stop in Route nº 2 After travelling through the landscape of the windmills, we will arrive at the village of Algaida, where we will make our first visit to one of the best-preserved windmills. We will not be able to go inside as it is a private property, but we will be able to observe all the details of these beautiful structures that have survived the passage of time and that provided energy and sustenance to the inhabitants of the islands.

30 min

Stop in Route nº 2: On our route on the way to Cura, we come across this quiet village of barely 500 inhabitants, where we will make our second stop, to take a walk to the Cruz de Pina, visit its fountain and listen to the history of the ancient washing places, a vestige of the Islamic period that stands out for the hydraulic systems of the archaeological remains of the place.

Pass by

Stop in Route nº 2: Continuing along our route, we will take a detour to the village of Lloret de Vista Alegre, with a population of 1,400 inhabitants. We will not make a stop in the village but we will be able to cross its plains and listen to the history and traditions of this magical place.

On the outskirts of the village, we will make our third stop of the day, this time to recharge our batteries while we enjoy a delicious pa amb oli in one of the most typical places visited by Mallorcans.

45 min

Stop in Route nº 2: Our route continues to the village of Randa, which we will cross until we reach our last stop, the majestic Sanctuary of Cura, which rises 550 m above sea level surrounded by nature and from where we have spectacular 360º views of Mallorca, and from where we can, on clear days, see the island of Cabrera.

Stop in Route nº 3: Possibly one of the wildest corners of Mallorca and one of the most impressive balconies on the coast. The lighthouse was built in 1862 and is possibly one of the most beautiful of the 14 lighthouses on Mallorca. The lighthouse, which is still in operation and under public management, cannot be visited inside, but we will walk around it to admire this window to the Mediterranean while we take photos and enjoy a freshly baked ensaimada.

20 min

Stop in Route nº 3: On our way to the Salinas d'Es Trenc, we come across another unmissable site, the tower of Cala Pi, and the cliff that leads down to the famous beach of Cala Pi, with its turquoise, crystal-clear water.

Admission included40 min

Stop in Route nº 3: Our last stop will be at the Es Trenc salt marshes, an idyllic spot where we can see the ponds in which the concentration of salt in the water is increased. This is one of those places that serves as an example to prove that it is possible to create ecosystems in which the action of man and wild animals live in harmony. A representative of the salt-producing company will give us an illustrative talk on how the salt works and the different stages of the process until the salt that reaches our tables is obtained. The visit ends after tasting the delicious Quelitas biscuits with cheese.

Ask for Birgit

I have taken over 30 cruises and countless tours and this was at the top of the list it was above and beyond our expectations. Our tour guide, Birgit, grew up on the island and besides the normal stops she took my group of 4 to extra places to see more of the culture. We wish the cruise ship was staying another day so we could book this tour tomorrow. Thank you to the Tour company Calle Estricadors that designed this tour and especially Birgit

Not very reliable

Be aware that your reservation can be canceled at the last minute. I had booked 2 tours which were both cancelled, and no alternative was offered. Make sure you have prepared a plan B in case this happens to you.

An authentic Mallorquin experience

Birgit is a Mallorquin through and through and I don’t think you can find a better ambassador for Mallorca than her. We did two VIP tours with her and both were excellent. She had a very energetic and warm personality. She showed us the local gems of Mallorca that we wouldn’t have known about as tourists. We learned about the culture and flavors of the island. She was an excellent driver and guide who ensured our comfort throughout the day. Mallorca is best explored by car and Birgit allowed us to do that without the trouble of renting our own vehicle and finding our own parking (which was often limited in small towns). We just sat back and enjoyed the scenery. I highly recommend Birgit especially if you are any to see the local side of the island.

Nice tour, but price - performance and pick-up service catastrophic

We booked the charming villages tour through TUI. Unfortunately, we were only picked up an hour after the agreed time. The tour guide Birgit said that this was apparently agreed with TUI. The tour itself was fine, we saw a lot of smaller places, but only had the opportunity to go to the toilet twice during the tour. I thought the price-performance ratio of €110 was too high

Lovely day in the Sierra Tramuntana

It was our first full day in Mallorca, for a 4-day girls’ trip. We had two private car tours booked for our first two days there, and this first tour was the most enjoyable. Our guide, Alvaro, was awesome, picked us up from our hotel right on time, was a very good driver (we admired his skills through mountain roads and narrow city streets), and very knowledgeable of local culture and history. As I am also interested in history, we had many interesting conversations. The Hidden Marvels tour merits this name, as our guide took us through picturesque residential streets in Valdemossa, to a hidden stairway to see La Forada, and to a 17th monastery of hermit monks with breathtaking views of La Forada and the Mediterranean. I will remember fondly sitting with Alvaro and my friend and enjoying local cheese and salty crackers, along with the view of the sea. Our last stop for lunch was the artisanal, family owned oil press of Can Det in Sollier. We had the most delicious lunch of olive bread, tomatoes, cold cuts, and almond cake with wine, in the family’s vine-covered yard. This tour is the closest experience to having local family or friends in Mallorca to show you the sights and share the great food! Alvaro left us with recommendations of sights to see in Palma, and restaurant and beach recommendations. On our last evening, we had a lovely seafood paella at Arroseria Sa Cranca in Palma, the restaurant he recommended. Gracias, Alvaro and team, for a lovely day!

Our expectations of this tour were exceeded!

We had absolute fun from the first moment we picked up from the hotel until the end of this tour. Thanks to Birgit, who was our guide that day, we could experience Mallorca from a completely different side. Since we were only 4 people in total, the individuality of a trip is fortunately not comparable to trips in a coach. We will book another tour with Driveando in the summer. Many thanks to Birgit once again for the beautiful day.

Fabulous discovery

We really loved our tour! They showed us beautiful place far away from touristic places. We could discover so many place which were kind of secret place. They told us so many stories as well. They also prepared us some Mallorca snack and it was delicious. We even had a little lunch in a beautiful place where they make olive oil by themselves. The guide was talking in English and in German very well!!! the only little things that I can say is that sometimes it was hard to follow and understand when she was switching to German or switching to English. (We are french). It would be maybe better if we only had a team who speak only English and another team who speak only German for example. But that’s all, everything was so perfect and beautiful and we don’t regret it.
