Mallorca Grand Tour by land & sea: Valldemossa, Soller & Calobra

Description
A fantastic jouney by land and sea offering dreamy views and the most complete formula to get to explore some of the most emblematic corners of the island in one sole day. In the morning, you will wander around Valldemossa before the village gets crowded, when we will be restarting our trip through the coastal roads of the Tramuntana towards Sóller. Sóller, known as the capital of the Tramuntana, counts with a vibrant old town with stunning modernist architecture, a great selection of artisan shops, tapas bars, traditional bakeries, and truly delicious orange juice squeezed from local oranges. In the afternoon, you will get on the centenary tram that connects Sóller with the coastal village of Port of Sóller, where you will embark on a boat towards the imposing Sa Calobra. You will be ending your trip on a high note as we travel back to Palma through the roads of Calobra, a wonder of civil engineering and offering some the most stirring sea and mountain views.

Itinerary
You will be traveling by road by the beautiful mountain roads offering impressive views to the coast.
The small village of Valldemossa, hidden among the green mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, has achieved a miracle: to maintain its essence untouched by the passage of time despite being only 17 kilometers from Palma, the capital. To immerse oneself in this valley surrounded by ancient olive trees, holm oaks and almond trees, to lose oneself in its steep cobbled streets, adorned with flowerpots, is to return to an indeterminate past that has enchanted numerous artists throughout history. Famous is the story of the winter spent here by the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin and his wife, the French writer George Sand, but there have been many other writers, painters and eccentric aristocrats who have been attracted by the magnetism of the place.
The town of Soller is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. It is enough to walk through its historic center to feel immediately transported to other times. Important people such as the Archduke Luis Salvador assured that it had the most beautiful square of the island. Walking through the narrow streets of the town you will feel the history of one of the most flourishing Mallorcan towns of the past. Its curious name comes from the Arabic 'suliar', which means golden bowl, a very accurate name to describe the fertile valley of orange trees that surrounds it. In the architecture of Soller you can perceive the hand of Joan Rubió i Bellver, a well-known disciple of Gaudí, whose most relevant works in this place are the neo-Gothic church of San Bartomeu and the modernist bank of Soller.
You will be reaching Port Soller by the centenary tramway that connects the 6km distance from the beautiful marina to the center of Soller town. In Port Soller you will be embarking on a cruise, sailing along the north coast of the island and observing the maritime cornice of the Sierra de Tramuntana (listed as a World Heritage Site) that offers spectacular views of nature in its purest form.
Considered one of the natural wonders of the island. You will be dazzled by its majestic cliffs, crystal clear waters and the scenery at the Torrent the Pareis.
The winding road of Sa Calobra, is considered one of the most extraordinary roads from an engineering point of view, and offering impressive panoramics.

Sophia was amazing she is the best tour guide you can ask for. I highly recommend
It was wonderful experience. Total value for money. Our guide Sophie to be precise is so good explain everything in detail & kept the cheerful vibe throughout the trip.
Sophie was such an amazing tour guide. We learnt so much about the places we visited, she was very friendly and really looked after us. She is such a great soul and got to spend time with her. She told us she’s been doing this for 30 years and even until now I can tell she loves what she does. Highly recommend!
The tour was great. Places that can be a lot of hassle to book on your own and drive on your own. The drivers were amazing for tackling those impressive curves. Sophie was so cool, knowledgeable about the areas, and she made sure no one gets left behind.
Very good excursion with Sophie, a great guide! I highly recommend you
Very beautiful hotel Thank you Sophie, our guide, for your very clear explanations.
An incredible day to recommend to friends
Vivienne the multi-lingual tour guide was excellent, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable
Overall, I felt there was simply too much time spent on the bus and not enough time at the destinations. Between the late start, traffic delays, and waiting for late passengers, the stops felt rushed and there wasn't enough time to properly explore and enjoy each location. I also would have preferred a smaller tour group. After the final scheduled stop, we were taken to a small kiosk for a bathroom break and shopping opportunity. This felt unnecessary and somewhat like a cash grab. The return journey was also longer than expected. We had to switch buses on the way back and didn't return until 7:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the day involved far more time in transit than I had anticipated. Valldemossa, Sa Calobra, and Sóller are all beautiful places to visit, but I wouldn't recommend this tour as the best way to experience them. That said, hats off to the exceptional bus drivers who navigated the winding mountain roads safely and professionally throughout the day.
An unforgettable tour that allowed us to discover very different facets of Mallorca. We just returned, and both adults and children are amazed. Definitely the best tour we have done on the island. Thank you!
