Amazing, unique cooking class - cooked in Onsen steam

Karen's class was incredible! Her knowledge of local food was super informative and her English is perfect. We had an amazing time. This is a cooking class like no other with dedicated time for exploring the local markets, a cooking style in steam from safe Onsen water (not many places in Japan have this) and a yummy meal! The session is scheduled for 3 hours which gives plenty of time to relax in the markets, during the cooking and eating. Complementary access to the Onsen afterwards is a generous way to spend the rest of your day.

A very special experience

A very special activity! It takes place in a lovely old ryokan in a small town at the seaside. We made a lot of photo's! With our friendly host (who speaks perfect English) we bought biological vegetables at a local farmers shop and fresh fish from the local fishmonger. We then steamed it ourselves in the traditional steamovens and, wow, it tasted absolutely delicious! Afterwards, we enjoyed a bath in the hotel's hot spring. All in all a really pleasant experience! Tip: If you are based in Nagasaki you can take the Nagasaki Prefectural Express bus from the station directly to Obama. It stops a 100m from the ryokan.
