A fantastic day with two great snorkeling spots and a visit to Mama’s market. The day was well organised, Captain Ben and the crew were friendly, helpful and shared lots of great information about the area.
Thank you so much for the lovely review! We’re really glad you enjoyed the day and that everything felt well organised. Ben and the crew will be stoked to hear you appreciated the local info too. Thanks again for coming out with us — hope to welcome you back on board next time you’re in Vanuatu!
We had a fantastic day on the Major Tom with Captain Ben and his crew. In spite of challenging trade winds we had 3 snorkels in the gorgeous bay; a delicious lunch of sausages chicken salad and rice; and even picked up a beautiful basket from the mamas. The upside of those winds is the crew put ‘the rag’ up and we sailed the South Pacific in beautiful sunny tranquility. Highly recommend 👏🌊⛵️🍹🐠
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled you had such a great day with Captain Ben and the crew — and how good that the trade winds gave us the perfect chance to put “the rag” up and enjoy a proper South Pacific sail. So glad you loved the snorkels, lunch, and that you found a beautiful basket from the mamas too. Thanks a million for the recommendation — we’d love to welcome you back on board anytime
great day out on the sail boat, would highly recommend. Only thing I would want changed would be another snorkeling spot but otherwise just a nice day out and delicious lunch
Thanks so much for the review — we really appreciate the recommendation, and we’re glad you enjoyed the day and the lunch. Thanks as well for the feedback about adding another snorkelling spot. We always aim to fit in as much as we can while keeping the day relaxed and safe (and sometimes conditions/timing can limit extra stops), but we’ll definitely take it on board. Hope to welcome you back again!
Amazing and day well spent with knowledgeable easy going hosts.
Thanks so much for the kind review! We’re really glad you had a great day with us — and we’ll pass your lovely words on to the crew. Hope to see you back on board again soon
The whole experience from pickup to drop off was awesome. The crew were so helpful and friendly. The snorkelling was first class. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Vanuatu. Highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for the lovely review! We’re stoked everything ran smoothly from pickup to drop-off, and that you enjoyed the snorkelling. Really appreciate the recommendation — we’d love to have you back on board next time you’re in Vanuatu.
Our family went on this trip on a beautiful sunny warm day, the scenery was spectacular and staff friendly. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The boat is lovely but there were too many people onboard so there were limited seats especially with everyone’s bags left everywhere. There was not enough equipment for everyone when the swimming and snorkelling started and the lunch was average at best - bits of chicken and sausages. There was also a salad apparently but there was none left by the time we got to the front of the queue. The trip also included a walk to a village which was a bit of a non event because all we got to see was a shed with people selling the same souvenirs we saw in Port Villa the day before. Also, the sails only went up for about 10 minutes at the end of the trip so it could hardly be called a sailing trip! All in all a very disappointing day
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry you felt disappointed, but we do need to clarify a few points for accuracy. *Capacity / seating: We operate within our licensed passenger limits, which is 36 and we only had a max of 25 pax the last 6 weeks . We do also ask that bags are stored in designated areas so walkways and seats remain clear, however at busy times when guests are getting ready, we do recognise there can be congenstion. *Snorkel equipment: We carry 35-40 snorkel sets which is plenty for all guests on board however we only carry 22 sets of Fins as they are often not required in the calm waters. If something didn’t fit or you needed a different size, our crew are always available to swap gear immediately. *Lunch: Lunch includes more than “bits of chicken and sausages” and is prepared in set quantities for the full group. Salad is provided for all guests; if you missed it, please let us know at the time so we can replenish/serve you directly. *Village walk: This stop is a short visit with local vendors and a chance to see a small community area. It isn’t marketed as a full cultural tour, and we’re careful not to misrepresent it. *Sailing time: We are a sailing tour, however sail time depends entirely on wind and safe operating conditions on the day. When wind is light or inconsistent, we motor for safety and to keep the itinerary on schedule. We are sorry that you where disappointed and the crew have all been made aware of your concerns so wee can make sure not to disappoint anyone else in future. We hope you otherwise had a great time in Vanuatu.
