Magical Marrakesh 1 Day Trip From Agadir

We chose this tour because it said that the language was Spanish, they put us on the bus, they take us to another place to look for the guide and what is my surprise when the guide speaks English, French, German, Arabic and already... and we were super stuck, at the first stop I ask him about Spanish and he says “sorry no Spanish” and already... Therefore, we could no longer get off because we were already in a tour stop and we had three hours of travel listening to the man speak without understanding anything, lousy!! The worst was when they arrived in Marrakech, lost following the group without knowing what to do... We had a hard time.

On booking said maximum of 15 fellow travellers but picked up by minibus and transferred onto bus with 40 other travellers. Guide very knowledgeable and happy for us to leave the group to have more time in the souks and then rejoin group for pick up.

No more Marrakech. From the guide who drove you through the souk. You may only stop at one specified stop where the tour guide can collect. Our driver was great and drove with us to the Royal Palace afterwards. Too bad for the day.

That was a great short trip to Marrakech. We were picked up from the hotel on time. Our guide could speak German as indicated. On the way out, he explained important information, the culture and history of Marrakech in all languages. In Marrakech we were then guided through Medina, again with explanations always very polite. On personal requests he was open and also helped and recommended places. Thanks Abdul:) If you still have a day off in Agadir, I definitely recommend going to Marrakech for a “short time”, it’s really a magical place with its own atmosphere.

Marrakech is chaotic but the trip with Mohammed as a guide makes it worth the tour. Quiet guide, with driving experience, punctual. Mohammed is highly recommended.

That's a lot of bus hours for what you actually do. I asked for a guide in Spanish and the guide spoke not only English or French. At lunchtime they take you to the restaurant they want and then you pay for it. They choose the restaurant. Then you have little time to walk in your own souk. With the guide you pass the souk but walk fast and you can not see anything in the shops. If the intention is to know Marrakech, you will not achieve your goal.

The driver who took us to Marrakech was very friendly and attentive with our group. However, we bought this activity with the intention of the guide to be in Portuguese and it didn't happen, because our guide spoke Spanish and we couldn't even understand it, he always walked very fast and we could barely take photos or appreciate the view of the city, he tried to send the activity as long as he could.

The tour was well run. Very organised and lots to learn on the long road trip. The tour of the market was insightful and was warned of what you need to be careful about which was very helpful. Enjoyed nice lunch and umguided shopping for couple of hours. Always haggle to avoid extortionate prices there. I also forgot a bag on the coach and the tour operator was quick to resolve the issue and reunited my bag the same night. Amazing customer service and well looked after. Highly recommend.

Loved the trip to Marrakesh just wish we had been given longer to wander on our own. Pick up was good, an air conditioned mini bus. Our guide Ahmed was great, very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his country. Upon arrival we were taken to the mosque to take pictures and then we were taken to a restaurant, would have have preferred to have been given an option at this point as nobody ate and we sat for a while here. We were then taken to the medina and souk when Ahmed guided us around and took us to a argan oil shop and another shop. Again I would have preferred to have been asked in advance if we wished to do this. We were then taken to the medina and told we had 1 hour to explore. Some of us expressed some disappointment that we wouldn't be given longer. We were told that the guided tour was counted in the free time. I would recommend this tour to others BUT would advise people to advise the guide you wish for more free time at the beginning. I appreciate the guides have relationships with certain restaurants and shops but I would have preferred to have explored myself. I felt very rushed at the end to go explore and buy things.

What a great trip! To have transportation to and from Marrakech was great, and to have a wonderful guide on top of it! He made sure to let us know the highlights of the city and took care of us all along the way. Would highly recommend!
