Begin an adventure with a game drive safari through the renowned Maduru Oya National Park, home to the Asian Elephant habitat. This day excursion provides a thrilling opportunity to embark on a wildlife safari and witness a remarkable gathering of Elephants, along with other iconic creatures such as Leopards, Sloth Bears, Sāmbhar, Spotted and Barking Deer, Wild Boar, and Wild Buffalo. The national park is not as heavily populated by tourists, allowing you to observe wild animal behaviors in a serene setting. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to interact with a group of Veddas, the indigenous people residing within the confines of Maduru Oya National Park, and spend time with them until evening. We will then return to Pasikuda before nightfall. We should spend about 4 Passikudha to Maduru Oya & Comeback to Passikudha

Maduru Oya National Park is a gem among the tourist destination in Sri Lanka. The park was declared in on 9th November 1983 as a National Park and stretches 8,849 hectares in content is located in the dry zone. Maduru Oya National Park is one of the less crowded National Park in Sri Lanka but also the park home of wild elephant habitat. Other than wild Elephants there are wild animals as such Leopards, Sloth Bears, Sambhur, Spotted and Barking Deer, Wild Boar and Wild Buffalo.
