My parents are active but slow walkers. The private guide adjusted immediately slower steps, more rest stops, and always finding shade. He even arranged for my dad to sit on a stone wall while he explained the history. Train seats were near the exit to minimize walking. The staff helped my mom onto the bus to Machu Picchu. They felt like royalty, not burdens. This tour is worth double the price for how well they treated my parents. Thank you from our whole family.
We booked exactly 27 days ahead after reading the note. Good thing we did our preferred date was almost full. The private tour was seamless from pickup to drop off. Train ride: panoramic windows, clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Guide: spoke perfect Italian and English. He explained the agricultural and urban sectors of Machu Picchu in detail. No rushing. No hidden fees. Free cancellation gave us confidence before our international flights arrived. Highly recommended.
I visited Machu Picchu 5 years ago with a cheap group tour. It was chaotic and exhausting. This private trip showed me what I missed. My guide in Spanish was born near Cusco and knew details no book tells you. We entered early, so I saw the sunrise over the ruins. He took me to a quiet corner where only 3 other people were there. Pure magic. The written guide in English and Spanish was a nice backup. I’ll never go back to group tours again.
I was worried my 6-year-old would get exhausted. Our private guide was amazing with kids patient, funny, and full of energy. He let the kids take breaks whenever they wanted. The train had big, comfortable seats. We brought snacks, but the guide also had some emergency crackers for the kids. He even played a Inca trivia game with them during the bus ride. Both kids stayed happy the whole 14 hours. That’s a miracle in my book.
This was my second time at Machu Picchu. The first time, I booked cheap separately and spent hours in lines, confused about buses and train times. This time? Private guide met us at 4 AM with a warm smile. He handled every single ticket and transfer. We walked right into Machu Picchu while huge lines formed behind us. The 13-hour day felt short because nothing went wrong. If you can afford private, do it. Your sanity is worth it.
I despise large tour groups with flags and loudspeakers. This private trip was the opposite. My guide in French was quiet, knowledgeable, and respectful of the site. We walked at my rhythm sometimes fast, sometimes just sitting and staring at the mountains. The train ride felt like first class. I used the reserve now, pay later option, which helped my budget. Mobile ticket worked fine. Free cancellation gave me peace of mind before I confirmed my flights. 10/10 would book again.
We were a group of four friends traveling together. Our private guide spoke German and English fluently. He had a great sense of humor and took amazing group photos of us. The round-trip train was scenic and relaxing we played cards and watched the mountains. Inside Machu Picchu, we had the freedom to split up and regroup easily. Lunch was at a local Peruvian restaurant, delicious and filling. No waiting for other tourists like on a group tour. We all agreed best day of our 2-week Peru trip.
Excellent experience with travel peru! Great communication, great tour very informative. Our guide took a lot of photos for us. Our driver that took us back to the airport was so kind and shared even more history of Cusco which was the perfect ending to our trip.
We booked this for our anniversary. From the moment we were picked up,everything felt first-class. Private van, private guide, and even private table on the train. Our guide spoke Italian (my wife’s native language), which was so thoughtful. He explained the history of Machu Picchu in a way that was deep but not boring. We had over 2 hours inside the citadel without crowds thanks to early entry. The return train had drinks and snacks included. We got back to Cusco around 8 PM, still smiling. Best money we spent in all of Peru.
Consistent communication, everything as promised was delivered, everything on time all the time, zero hidden charges or surprises. Overall an amazing experience
