Great Way to Get to Know a City

This VoiceMap walking tour of Culver City was pretty great. I’ve been to Culver City many times over the years and this tour showed me things I had no idea about. I also really appreciated how it took me through some alleys and smaller streets that I’ve passed right by. I liked the tour so much that I’m now looking to see what other nearby cities they may have so we can get to know those better. The only criticism I have about this tour is the technology; at one point it showed that we were not on the correct street, but I think we were, and it got very confusing. Very. It left me feeling frustrated. We did eventually straighten it all out for ourselves, fortunately. We had an out-of-town guest visiting who was very interested in seeing more of this area, and this tour was so perfect to help us show her Culver City right. Highly recommended.

Great way to visit Culver City

We were in Culver City and wanted to go for a walk after brunch. What a great way to see Culver City and learn about its rich history while getting some exercise. Recommend. Good value.

Self guided tour of history of Culver City

This is a fun way to learn about insider stories of Culver City. It is an inexpensive self guided 75 minute walking tour for about $5. I think it can be shared among 3 people. It is a little glitchy on verbal map directions but I can see my location on the map and knew where stops were located and hit play button

Beautiful walking tour in Culver City

Great narration with lots of insight and some personal stories from the narrator. Walking directions were perfect. Lost connection one time, but was able to get back on easily. Longer than I expected with lots of walking on a beautiful day. A little difficult to hear when walking along road with a lot of traffic.

“Not all who wander are lost”… but I sure was

I highly recommend this walking tour. HOWEVER, I recommend you locate a map with an overview of the entire route. My audio seemed to cut out right after the word “turn” 🤔🤪 quite frustrating. But I enjoyed it so much. Suggestion: if you start at the Hotel, you can park underground. First hour free. $3 per hour afterwards. You’re right in the midst of music and food and lots of activities for before & after the tour. Have comfy shoes, water, and camera! I think it helps if you grew up in the 60’s or are familiar with old movies and/or tv shows. Here are only a few of the sites.

Good experience in Culver City

The tour was great. I did it slow and spent 3 hours. I had a little. It of a hard time with the directions but was able to easily recover. The Laurel & Hardy mural is no longer there.

Informative stroll through Culver City

The audio guide provides personal stories along with the historically significant tidbits in the area. Nice to be able to stop the audio to pop into shops and then start again.

Good experience

Enjoyed the narrated tour and the ability to go at your own speed, saw things you can not see or appreciate by driving. Enjoyed the tour and would definitely consider doing another similar tour in another city.

Great Culver City walking tour!

We loved seeing the sites of Culver City, guided by Manny and hearing about his stories from growing up in the city. I loved seeing the current sites of Culver City and learning the history of what used to be there.
