Itinerary
We will begin the tour in the Amzei Market, an area frequented by locals. Your host will meet you with a local snack, and you will learn about the history of Romania, Bucharest and, of course, about our food.
The Bucharest Philharmonic - one of the most sumptuous and beautiful buildings in Bucharest. The time spent here includes the time for a snack at a nearby stop.
It is one of the oldest roads in Bucharest and is famous for its landmarks, coffee shops, restaurants, and other places to hang out. We will include a few food stops around it, as well as important historical stops such as the Equestrian Statue of Carol I and the Revolution Square
Bucharest's Old Town is the historic heart of the city, rich in charm and history. We'll wrap up our food journey with a final tasty stop here.

This tour was the highlight of our weekend in Bucharest! Andrei led us on a well-thought-out route that blended history and food perfectly, taking us through key landmarks while introducing us to best foods to try. The tour was also very visual, with maps and historical images that really brought the past to life adding context and imagination. Andrei’s knowledge of Bucharest was outstanding—he explained everything in excellent English, answered all of our questions with ease, and had a great sense of humor, making the experience both engaging and entertaining. He had a real talent for connecting historical events to modern-day Romania, giving us a deeper understanding of the city and its culture, as well as give context to the political protests happening around the city. Don’t eat breakfast before you go because you’ll be taken to the very best food spots, none of which we had found by ourselves while exploring or thought to try. Every stop was well-chosen, and we left feeling completely satisfied, both in terms of food and knowledge! There was also some great alleys we would not have walked down by ourselves, yet found them to be full of stories we are so glad not to have missed. Beyond the tour itself, Andrei gave us a long list of recommendations for the rest of our stay, from restaurants, cafés and bars in the city. His tips helped us make the most of our time in Bucharest. I don’t write reviews often, so hopefully if you’re reading this it gives you the confidence to book a morning with Andrei.
