Great experience. 100 percent recommended. The punctual pickup and the treatment and experience at the sanctuary were perfect.
A great experience with knowledgeable staff.
Shittle was comfortable. The tour guide (Mod) was funny and knowledgeable. The elephants were so cute!
The experience at the sanctuary was excellent. The guides were great and the elephants were magical. It really seems like these folks are trying their best to help these mistreated animals live a better life. The transportation to the sanctuary from Bangkok was not as great. The driver barely talked to us so it felt a little strange, and there was no break in an almost three hour drive but since we had no communication about this part we did not know to bring water or that there would not be a bathroom break. Our driver also got the bus stuck in the sandy ground on the way out, but that was thankfully resolved quickly with the help of the sanctuary pickup truck! With better transportation this would be a five star experience for sure! Highly recommend anyway.
This will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life. The opportunity to interact with all 8 elephants (soon to be 9!), whether feeding them or helping them bathe or just BEING with them is a lifetime-making memory. If you’re on the fence about doing this… don’t be. Book it now!
This was an amazing experience! We got to feed and help bathe the elephants. They each had 24 hour caretakers and were treated very well. It was so interesting to hear their stories as they all came from various backgrounds. Highly recommend. Don’t forget your bug spray though!
OMG, this was super incredible. You actually hang out with elephants, and feed them and swim with them! It was absolutely just wonderful, and this sanctuary does not harm the elephants at all. They are so sweet, and you should 10000% do this!
The experience with the elephants was OK, BUT be aware that there is a 3 hour trip to get to the site from Bangkok. The lunch was just an insult: some gelatinous noodles with a few bits of tofu and some worm watermelon and a bottle of water. A one star experience.
Good guide. Learnt a lot about elephants. Nice to feed them close up. Only 8 elephants in the sanctuary. Water part wasn’t fun. Just a small dirty water hole. Didn’t want to go in - nobody did. Nice Pad Thai lunch and water melon. Good driver. A long journey three hours back due to traffic. Two hours going. Long walk uphill to see elephants in natural surrounds. Feeding was at bottom of hill. Friendly elephants obviously used to seeing us humans. Enjoyable experience but not really special.
This is an amazing experience led by a very special team of people who have take one of the world’s beloved animals and assure they’re well kept and safe. Handsome Man and Crazy Man(he’s not crazy) are a neat duo. I enjoyed listening to them both especially Crazy Man as he’s young but very well spoken! This experience gave me another respect for elephants in general. I got to feed an elephant by hand, like wth. Only in Thailand.
