Itinerary
Step off the bus and into literary history with a 45-minute stop in Haworth, a charming hillside village best known as the home of the Brontë sisters. At the top of the village stands the Brontë Parsonage Museum (exterior viewing only), where Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë lived and wrote their world-renowned novels. The churchyard and nearby St Michael and All Angels Church offer striking photo opportunities and a quiet moment of reflection.
Are you a cheese lover? Wensleydale Creamery is a must-visit destination for food lovers and anyone curious about Yorkshire’s rich culinary heritage. The Creamery itself is a charming mix of tradition and modern craftsmanship. From the outside, its stone buildings blend seamlessly with the landscape, while inside lies a world of flavour and history. Visitors can explore the Cheese Shop, where you can sample and buy the famous Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, alongside a wide selection of local and artisan varieties. Whilst at the Creamery, take advantage of either the cafe or in house restaurant to sustain yourself for the rest of the day.
Step off the bus into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and experience one of the region’s most spectacular natural sights. The Hardraw Force Waterfall stop offers visitors immediate access to the stunning landscapes and rich heritage of Wensleydale. Just a short stroll from the stop, through the historic Green Dragon Inn, lies Hardraw Force – England’s highest single-drop waterfall. Hidden within a wooded gorge, this dramatic 100-foot cascade is a truly unforgettable sight. Whether it’s in full flow after rainfall or gently spilling over the edge on a quiet summer day, the waterfall offers a moment of peace and awe in equal measure. This is a photo opportunity you dont want to miss
With its cobbled streets, stone-built shops, and vibrant local charm, Hawes is a highlight of any journey through the Yorkshire Dales. Right in the heart of town is the Hawes Market Hall, where local traders offer everything from handmade crafts and gifts to fresh produce and baked goods. Surrounding the market area are cosy tearooms, traditional pubs, and independent shops selling local art, outdoor gear, and Yorkshire treats. The backdrop is stunning: rolling hills, dry-stone walls, and the River Ure winding its way through the valley.
As the bus approaches the Ribblehead Viaduct, it spans 400 metres (1,300 feet) with 24 massive stone arches, standing proudly against the backdrop of Whernside, the highest peak in Yorkshire. Built in the 1870s for the Settle–Carlisle railway, the viaduct remains a working piece of railway history – and with a bit of luck, you may even catch a train gliding across its top.
From the comfort of the bus, look out to the right for the dramatic curved limestone cliff rising 80 metres (260 feet) above the valley floor. Formed by ancient glacial waters, this striking rock formation has captivated visitors for centuries – and even made a star appearance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Lovely trip. Beautiful scenery. Knowledgeable driver (Frank) Saw parts if Yorkshire I never imagined existed.
Went on day trip yesterday to Yorkshire with Busybus. Had a great day visited lovely places and stopped off at some great spots. I would highly recommend this trip. The driver Adrian made it a very fun experience, he was very informative and knowledgeable on all the places we visited.
Our guide, Frank, was excellent and handled unexpected setbacks brilliantly. That being said, there were simply too many disruptions on this tour, most of which should have been communicated to us before the trip began. First, our itinerary did not include the entry ticket to the waterfall. Frank mentioned we could get a group discount, but because no staff were on-site when we arrived, we had to pay full price. Second, a road diversion in Yorkshire made it impossible to visit the Viaduct. While this was announced at the start of the tour and Frank did his absolute best to pivot and provide a great experience, a major change to the main itinerary should have been communicated to us well in advance.
Just super. Shelly our driver/guide/ narrator was excellent.
An unbeatable day even if the weather did not accompany... Interesting places to visit, beauty of landscapes and history very well explained by our friendly and cultured guide Adrian. Highly recommended.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time onboard with Adrian and we hope to welcome you onboard again soon! Best wishes, The Busy Bus team.
I went on the Yorkshire tour on Sunday 14th and it was an absolute treat! The countryside was stunning, rolling hills, mountains, and those narrow little roads winding through beautiful villages. We passed all sorts of houses, from modest cottages to grand mansions 🤩, and Adrian pointed out some places where famous movies were filmed, which made it even more exciting. Adrian, our tour guide, was brilliant once again, very informative and full of interesting stories that brought the whole trip to life. The weather was kind to us too, which made the day even better. All in all, a cracking adventure. would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the best of Yorkshire!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! Adrian will be delighted to hear your kind words—he always loves sharing stories and making sure guests have a fun and informative experience. We’re so glad the weather played its part and that you had a “cracking adventure”!
This was bought as a Christmas present for my mum and her husband..herewith they had to say "A very enjoyable trip to the Yorkshire Dale's with Frank our driver who was very helpful and informative. Lovely scenery and various stops along the way , would highly recommend
A good trip, Lee our driver was excellent. Good knowledge of the Yorkshire Dale's along with some historical interesting facts. Well organised trip, woukd highly recommend.
Did you sample the delicious cheese at Wensleydale? Yum :-) Thank you for your review, I am delighted that you enjoyed your day with BusyBus and your Guide Lee.
Frank was super nice guide and driver, very kind and funny as well! Our trip was smooth, relaxing and gave us the opportunity to appreciate breathtaking viewing of the Yorkshire countryside. It’s most of a sightseeing tour than walking/visiting in person and I recommend it if you’re looking for a chilled still cultural road-trip - you get to visit the Brontë sisters’ house and hometown as well! Suitable for the elderly, too. Our guide Frank was super kind to help a lady and her walker throughout the whole journey!
We had Frank as our tour guide. He was great! He explained the history behind the areas that we visited and made everything very interesting. My mum was elderly with a walker and he helped her with that at each stop. We had an amazing day - the stops are great. My only complaint is that I wish we could have spent longer at the lunch stop!
