Lisbon inspired!

This is an activity I’ve actually lead professionally in another European capital for decades as an US art school faculty member and I can testify that Natercia has her craft down-pat! Her breadth of knowledge of the city is impressive and I appreciated her constant attention to satisfying my specific interests about Lisbon, its culture, its history and the different environments we traversed while drawing. An experience not to be missed if you love to draw and want to see the city from a whole different light. Highly recommended.

Thank you — high praise indeed from someone who knows what it takes to lead an experience like this well. Lisbon has a particular quality of light and texture that rewards those who stop to look properly, and we're glad the day offered that. Hope the sketches turned out beautifully. Rui

ABSOLUTE 5-STARS! 🚀

Natercia is the insider's insider 😊, knowing exactly which art spots to hit and which hidden gems to sneak in. She's been a perfect guide for our Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts art students, immersing them in Lisbon's vibrant art scene. Over eight years, she's worked with me and my groups in multiple capacities, providing valuable insights and support. The watercolor program she offers sounds like a great addition, letting visitors create postcards and memories with guidance from a professional artist and Lisbon native. Literally, teaching others HOW to see and experience Lisbon. Students have connected with her on cultural, artistic, and logistical levels, appreciating her resourcefulness beyond the study abroad experiences. One of the highlights was to match an art opening in one evening visit to the “open museum night”. We would have missed it if it wasn’t for her ear to the ground. It was fantastic.

Completely unique artistic insider experience with a talented Lisbonite

This was the most amazing experience I’ve had as a traveler. Natercia is the real deal: an internationally exhibited artist with an incredibly supportive and down-to-earth style. I have almost no visual art experience, but Natercia made me feel like a peer. And we had so much fun!! I haven’t laughed so much in a long time. A native Lisbonite, Natercia also knows the city like the back of her hand. I felt like a total insider, being shepherded around by one of the city’s most talented artists — and I learned so much about Portugal and the Portuguese in the process. This is a completely unique experience — I very highly recommend.

15/06/26 10:40 Thank you, Ed — this is a lovely thing to read. Lisbon reveals itself in a very particular way when you're stopping to look at it rather than just passing through, and we're glad that came through. The city has that effect on people who give it the right kind of attention. Hope you make it back one day — with a sketchbook of your own. Rui
