Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Located in Lijiang, Yunnan Province, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is one of the southernmost snow-capped mountains in the Northern Hemisphere. Comprising 13 peaks, the highest peak, Shanzidou, reaches an altitude of 5,596 meters. The mountain is perennially snow-covered, resembling a jade dragon winding through the clouds, hence its name. Situated at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Blue Moon Valley is a picturesque scenic area. The valley is named for its crystal-clear blue river, fed by glacial meltwater from the mountain. Known for its stunning contrast between the azure water and the snow-capped peaks in the background, Blue Moon Valley is a popular spot for photography.
