Complementary to the tour- limestone foot massage, fresh coconut with bamboo straws. Legend has it that the beauty of this rural community can cause memory loss if you spent too much time there. Drinking the water can also make you forgetful of your past life. An exquisite feature of the tour is the limestone along the riverbank. Our Raft Captain will give you a lovely foot scrub with limestone, called jungle socks. You can also get a mini-spa day (full limestone body massage, but at an extra cost). Jamaicans are very resourceful people that goes into weaving the bamboo stalks with each Raft Captain adding their own signature looks with tropical flowers and paint (anniversary and birthday decorations upon request). On this river rafting route there are the raft-shops alongside the riverbanks. You can purchase Jamaican cuisine and souvenirs. There is also Hookah rental service at an additional cost.

The 30 minutes journey away from Montego Bay to Lethe is relaxing as you take in the the beauty of the scenic hill. You'll hop aboard a 30 foot long handmade bamboo raft guided by Raft Captains who are fantastic and have extensive knowledge about the area. The raft captains will fill you in on history of the community, and you will also see evidence of slavery. Also, you can play music of your choice with a portable speaker provided by the raft captain to add more vibez to the journey downstream. On your journey down the river you will see raft-shops where you can purchase: Jamaican cuisine and souvenirs. You'll stop alongside the riverbanks to enjoy a fresh coconut and an exfoliating limestone foot massage leaving your skin silky smooth. The water is shallow for most part, if you want to enjoy the water. After an unforgettable journey, our driver will return you to your accommodations. Suggest wearing water shoes or crocs, take mosquito repellent, towel, change of clothes.

It was a great experience on the Great River, with our host and tour guide Danhi. He was very informative about the history of the river through out the journey. He had everything on his raft plus more to accommodate us, ensured our safety, and make sure we had a great time.
