I had an amazing experience learning to throw a returning boomerang with Robert! From the very beginning, he was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained the techniques clearly and made learning fun and easy, even as a complete beginner.
We had a morning session with Rob, learning about throwing returning boomerangs. Rob picked us up and dropped us off (took away the transport problem - which was appreciated). An interesting time, and we learnt a lot about throwing boomerangs (stance, technique etc) and also things we didn't know about boomerangs as such. Even though we're not ready to compete (not Rob's fault), we enjoyed the session and are happy to recommend it as an experience.
Robert is full of information. We had a mix of skill levels. I was slow to get the flick he had many tricks, ideas to help me too. Highly recommended
Hi Judith. It was great meeting you and your family. Have a great time up the sunshine coast. Thanks for your kind words. Regards Robert
Robert was amazing! He was very informative and took extra care with the kids to make sure they got the hang of the boomerang throwing when they were struggling. It was a great way to also get your body moving on vacation and learn something new but very on brand for the country
Hi Hannah, it was great meeting you guys. Its always special meeting and teaching a family. You were all very friendly and appreciative. Many thanks for your kind words. Travel safely, regards Robert.
Great experience. Robert was amazing, detailed and so knowledgable. Great teacher! Would recommend and attend again!
Hi Julia - it was great meeting you and James and hearing all your travel stories. Thank you for your kind words. Safe travels back home, enjoy Sydney, warm regards Robert.
Rob is great! Incredibly willing to work with you and very patient. He took his time and taught us not only how to throw a boomerang, but other indigenous facts as well.
Hi Holly, many thanks for your kind review. It was a real pleasure meeting you and introducing you to the boomerang and Aboriginal cultural world. Safe travels, regards Robert.
Lots of cultural information- very informative. Having a chair or somewhere to sit would be nice for some. I already recommended this to another group we saw in town.
Hi Cheryl, thanks for your feedback. Having a chair close bye is a good idea and I can bring one with all the boomerang gear fairly easily ;). There is also 2 bench seats nearby around 50 metres away on the river bank as well. Safe travels, regards Robert.
An exiting adventure with a knowledgeable instructor. Not only will you learn how to throw the boomerang but you will also receive extensive knowledge on the Australian Indigenous culture as well. Pick and drop off was a breeze. And the area where the boomerang throwing takes place was lovely. I recommend this experience to any who are visiting the Brisbane area!
Thanks Brenda for your kind review. It was great meeting your family. Have fun at your daughters wedding and enjoy my home state of Tasmania on your cruise. Safe travels, regards Robert
I was picked and and after a brief history of the area around Brisbane got to a quaint little park along the river. We lathered up with sunscreen and headed out with all the equipment we would need. Robert was a world class instructor, going over every thing slowly and making it simple to understand the whole boomerang throwing business. We would practice and he would demonstrate all sorts of techniques. I found myself enjoying the art and really got to get a solid foundation with the instruction provided. Afterwards I got to see a bit more about other aborigine tools used in historical times. Best thing in Brisbane besides a koala imo :)
Hi Eugene, many thanks for your kind review. I hope you had a safe flight back to San Fran. Your spirit of adventure is wonderful to see. I am sure you have great boomerang throwing memories to share with your pilot mates. Safe travels, regards Robert.
Amazing time, Robert was incredibly friendly and a very good instructor. Highly recommended for all ages
Hi Josh, it’s was great to meet you guys from Iowa. I am glad you had a great time. Enjoy the next leg of your holidays in NZ. Safe travels, regards Robert.
