Learn to surf on the endless beaches in southern Fuerteventura

As bloody beginners we got in the transfer van and had an incredibly nice afternoon. Exhausting and exciting, but thanks to the instructions and motivating words of surf instructor Andi mastered the challenge together. A great experience and we will definitely come back!

I had an incredible first surf lesson, and I can’t recommend it enough! Gaspard was an amazing and kind instructor. He took us through each step of the learning process with clear explanations, ensuring we felt confident before hitting the waves. What really stood out was how he handled the safety rules - thorough but never overwhelming, so there was no space for anxiety. You truly feel that he’s got your back. Surfing for the first time can be nerve-wracking, but Gaspard created such a supportive and encouraging environment that I felt safe and listened to the entire time. He also gave individual feedback to each of us, which helped us improve quickly. A special shoutout to Maria, who organized everything so smoothly! She’s absolutely lovely and goes out of her way to accommodate everyone, making sure the whole experience is as seamless and enjoyable as possible. This was my first time surfing, but definitely not my last! If you’re thinking about trying it, I highly recommend this experience.

My 10yo son had his first surfing lesson with Otro Modo. We were well looked after by Maria, and had our lesson at an absolutely stunning location, with Gaspar, who was super professional and reassuring. We've had a super experience and will be very happy to recommend them to others:)

From simple communication via WhatsApp, postponement of appointment (children sick) and hotel pickup, everything went as comfortably as possible. The surf instructors were also excellent. I was in a very small group with equally experienced people on both days of surfing, so the surf instructor could really respond well to everyone. In the morning, the surf spots would be approached and decided on site where the best conditions prevail. At the next one gladly again!

I booked my 13 year old daughter on the 3 day beginner school. Her whole experience was amazing with Jeroen and Gaspard. The instructing was excellent and super fun. She has loved every minute and even book a private lesson after school completed. Highly recommend. Both instructors excellent with kids.

Gaspard and Maria were wonderful, Gaspard did a great job teaching brand new beginners and getting us on the surfboards despite strong currents and huge waves. The team was friendly and fostered a pleasant environment for tourists, I ended up doing three days instead of just the one I planned, and would certainly join the team again.

I went to 1. Here in Fuerteventura and wanted to test surfing and then I came across the surf school “OTRO MODO”. The surf instructor I had was very professional and has responded to each student individually (my group, 3 students), next time I come back to Fuerteventura I book a course with OTRO MODO again. I can only recommend the surf school if you are in Fuerteventura and want to try surfing or develop further.
