The tour was worth it to acquire a notion of space and the possibility of making a relaxed walk in the centre of Rio. However, it is important to inform that it is not free. At the very beginning, the guide made it very clear the averages and fees you pay to be there. There is no problem with that, obviously everyone should be paid for their work. The problem is to be called free. I suggest changing the tour name and fair remuneration to the guides. Another point was some incorrect information about the history of Rio. A tour isn't a history lesson, but the 19th-century Dutch invasion of Rio de Janeiro sounded pretty strange. I tried to problematize the information, politely and discreetly, but it did not advance and probably will continue to be repeated.
Took this tour wanting to learn about the history of Rio and it did not disappoint. Max our guide was exceptionally knowledgable and gave us an excellent rundown of Rio’s and Brazil’s early history showing us the buldings that related to each period of time. If you like history and want to know more about Brazilian history and culture and the real Rio beyond the beach , I’d throughly recommend it.
We went for a trip with Max. He was very engaged and enthusiastic. We saw many points of interest and enjoyed listening to many stories about Brazil, its history, culture, and even a bit about our guide’s life. We highly recommend the tour to anyone who would like to learn more about the fascinating city of Rio de Janeiro.
Excellent trip. Victoria, the guide, has superb historical knowledge and a good communication style. Saw some great sights in a short period of time. Some of the tour is in direct sunlight so make sure you have hat, suncreme and water. Very enjoyable
Excellent free walking tour of Rio downtown with Lia would highly recommend
Rafael was fantastic! He knew an incredible amount about the history of Rio and the historical background! It was super fun to have him as a guide. He could also answer any question and was absolutely helpful.
Knowledgeable, friendly guide. Well paced and informative plus a good sense of humour. Lots of local info and places to see. Well done.
Flávio was an absolutely great guide. He knows Rio very well and has interesting stories to tell. He showed us special sights that correspond to our interests. Highly recommended!
Beautiful tour through a part of Haarlem unknown to me. many beautiful courtyards, nice streets, a canal and even a red light district. Our guide Margaret knew a lot to tell and illustrated it with pictures. We had a great time. Highly recommended!
The tour was guided by Flavio, and we really enjoyed everything he explained and showed us about Rio's historic center. Flavio was very attentive, explaining everything to us in detail and answering our questions. We had done the other activities in Rio on our own, but being in the center, I think it's better to do it with a guide. Although it's a beautiful area, it also has some less pleasant areas, or at least they don't appear to be very safe, so going with someone who knows where it's okay to go and where it's not is very helpful. Plus, being told the whole story of what you're seeing is very entertaining.
