Itinerary
We depart Launceston today travelling through the well-preserved Georgian townships of Evandale and Campbell Town. We make a short stop in Campbell Town where you can collect some lunch to take along for the day ahead. You will have time to discover the Convict Brick Trail that extends through the town, visit the Red Bridge, and check out the tree sculptures depicting the history of the town.
The amazing view of The Hazards mountain range greet us as we enter the Freycinet National Park. We begin by stretching our legs on the Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit. One of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, this easy 20 minute walk provides spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding coastline
Then we pack our lunch and begin our walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. We walk as a group to the Wineglass Bay Lookout; this is a moderate uphill walk of around 60 minutes. Once at the top you are rewarded with that world famous view of Wineglass Bay and the stunning Freycinet National Park. Enjoy the moment, take in the views, and let our guide help you with those sought after photographs. The walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout is one of the Great Short Walks of Tasmania and requires good mobility and adequate fitness. It is 1.3 km uphill, before returning downhill.
From the Lookout you have the option to return to the start of the walk with our tour guide, or for the keen hikers you can choose to spend the rest of your time completing the Wineglass Bay beach hike, and enjoy some time on the famous beach. Wineglass Bay Beach hike – This is a 2.5 hr return walk and good fitness is required. Our tour has ample time for you to do the full walk to Wineglass Bay Beach and return. Once on the beach you can enjoy your lunch in this stunning setting, jump in the pristine waters for a swim, or wander along the white sands. This is one of the most rewarding walks in Tasmania to a stunning location.
If you prefer to select the shorter walking option, then we return from the Lookout with our Tour Guide and you will have time to relax at Honeymoon Bay in the afternoon. We re-group ready for the return journey. Our final stop on the East Coast is the stunning Devil’s Corner Winery, where you will have time to take in the magnificent view. On site you can enjoy a wine tasting, wood fired pizza, fresh seafood and ice creams all available at own expense on the day. Then it is onwards into Launceston returning around 6.00pm.

4 out of 5 mainly for the weather a great little tour with some good views, Although we did not get close to the bay a good view was experienced, has some good hiking walks/ trails. Driver/guide was not real talkative but when asked he came back with all the Knowledge you needed as said great little tour with a reliable company. Return trip highlight after walking was the stop at Devils Corner Winery for a taste of their goods and the specialty was the seafood, worth trying the Oysters (and The Toilet Break)
Awesome day with Jess, who was extremely knowledgeable on the area. We luckily had fab weather and should of took swimmers. An extra 15 minutes at the winery would of been great. Would recommend
Great tour with fantastic views. The hike up to summit was a good work out. Jess was a friendly, knowlegable and a really likeable guide. Thanks so much for a nice day.
Thank you so much! The hike to the Wineglass Bay Lookout is a great workout but that view at the top makes every step worth it. We hope to see you back in Tassie again soon.
Excellent experience. Guide was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to go with the group consensus. Ample time in each location, definitely a must!

Our tour guide Rodney was very nice. Breathtaking views of wineglass bay, had a chance to dip into the waters of Honeymoon Bay. The steps to wine glass bay lookout is a bit challenging but still vey good. Had a chance to eat delicious oysters at Devil’s corner and also had a complementary wine taste of 2024 Devil’s Corner chardonnay
Hi Ferdinand, Thank you for joining our Freycinet and Wineglass Bay Explorer Day Trip. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the breathtaking views, the walk to the lookout and the time at Honeymoon Bay. Rodney will be happy to know he helped make the day enjoyable. It is great that you also loved the oysters and the wine tasting at Devils Corner. Warm regards from The Tours Tasmania Team.
It could be due to winter, the tour finished at 4:30pm, a total of 9 hours instead of 12 hours as indicated in the advertisement. Due to the short duration, we could only spent 10 minutes in Honey Moon Bay. I wish we should be allowed more free time in the Wineglass Bay beach.
It was a small tour. He asked me where I wanted to go and he asked me what I wanted and took me there. It was a great experience.
Great itinerary. Scenery was spectacular. Graham tailored the stops to each passengers fitness level. Much appreciated.
A brilliant tour with knowledgeable and good humoured guide. The walk back up the steps in the heat is quite a challenge but well worth it. Wineglass Bay is stunning.
The guide Graham was amazing .. a true asset to your company. The information he shared was great .. a walking encyclopaedia of knowledge
