I was picked up at my hotel in Miraflores area and taken to my guide, Roxana, at the Larco Museum. Roxana was so knowledgeable about the pieces housed here, and was an excellent guide and resource regarding pre-Columbian art and artifacts. (She was also fluent in English, which was very helpful.) We also went to the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of Peru. This, too, has quite a collection that I found to be as interesting as (if not more so) the Larco Museum. I highly recommend the provider of this tour!

The tour was extremely informative. Because I was solo, we had time to visit the archeological museum before heading to the Larco. My guide was excellent and I enjoyed it very much!

In addition, the museum also displays and allows visitors to peruse the part of the collection of over 45,000 objects that are not on display.
