Standing at 12 meters high (39.3 feet), this commanding statue is inspired by Langkawi's namesake sea eagle. Poised to take flight, the statue is the focal point of the waterfront Dataran Lang, a star-shaped plaza located on Kuah Bay. It's one of the first sights to greet visitors arriving via ferry or cruise ship. Dataran Lang is popular for photos with the larger-than-life Brahminy kite, or to simply watch boats sail in and out of the bay. Opposite the square, across a small footbridge, is the Jetty Point Complex, Langkawi's main ferry terminal and a mid-sized mall with duty-free shopping opportunities and fast food chains.
This lush, jungle-clad picnic grounds centers around a series of cascading waterfalls and natural rock pools. Durian Perangin waterfall consists of 14 shallow tiers, accessible via a series of footpaths and bridges. Those adventurous enough to climb the 200-meter long steep staircase to the highest level are met with a gushing vertical stream and a large flat rock surface to sit on and bask in the sun. Take a dip in the cooling pool and make your way over to stand underneath the falls' thundering current to feel the revitalizing water wash over your body.
Situated gracefully on the enchanting northeastern corner of Langkawi, Pantai Tanjung Rhu draws its name from the majestic casuarina trees that elegantly adorn its shoreline. Derived from the Malay language, ‘Pantai’ translates to the beach, ‘Tanjung’ signifies a cape, and ‘Rhu’ symbolizes the magnificent Casuarina tree. This picturesque destination offers a harmonious blend of natural beauty and cultural significance, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquil ambience while basking in the breathtaking views and rich heritage that Pantai Tanjung Rhu has to offer.
One of the 3 main sections of Langkawi's UNESCO-listed geopark, Kilim Geoforest Park is home to some of the island's most exquisite and geologically significant landscapes, with Setul rock formations dating back 490 million years. The park centers around the mangrove-lined Kilim River, home to diverse lifeforms from ancient and rare Cycad trees to colorful kingfishers and hornbills. At the river's mouth, the landscape dramatically shifts from muddy mangroves to idyllic beaches and towering limestone islands. Covering 100sq kilometers, Kilim Geoforest Park is best explored by boat. Local tour operators ferry tourists from 2 points to a selection of 14 attractions covering caves, islands, beaches, and a floating fish farm.
Hovering over jungle and climbing over 550 million years old rock, SkyCab gives you more than one unique experience. Be informed, SkyCab is located at the oldest part of South East Asia and the first to emerge from the ancient sea and estuary! That’s something to give a goose bump if you can get the gist. Come and experience it yourself. The Base Station is conveniently located at the foothill of the Machincang mountain. From here, visitors will be taken up to the cool Machincang mountain via the cable car system. The ride will be an exhilarating experience for everyone to enjoy. You will also be able to catch a glimpse of the flora and fauna that surrounds the area.
Measuring at 125m in length, the structure ranks among the world’s longest curve suspension bridge and constructing it was not an easy feat as the solutions had to factor the following critical elements; structural balancing from a single point (top of the pylon), optimal weight management and load distribution, pre-fabrication of bridge and on site installation. The entire bridge, in all its elements had to be lifted to the top of the mountain by helicopter and was later assembled to its current position.
Located at the foothills of Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park on the west coast of Langkawi, Oriental Village is the home of Langkawi SkyCab and Langkawi SkyBridge, the renowned attractions in Malaysia. The area is just a 45-minute drive from Kuah Jetty and only a 20-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport (LIA). A great destination for all stage of age, this 25.944-arches Oriental Village offers you a breath taking surrounding with unique instagrammable spots to capture your special moments. As it has many offerings for its visitors, a day-trip to Oriental Village is definitely a must.

Langkawi is a beautiful and clean island. Our tour guide/driver, Fatin, was very personable and shared information about the island.
Tq Ingrid and please come again
Jan our driver and guide picked us up directly from the cruise port and provided us with an extensive and well-organised tour of the highlights of Langkawi. We loved the island and tour of the island and Jan ensured we got back sufficiently in time for our cruise ship departure. Highly recommend Jan and this tour for those seeking to see key highlights of the island in a short period of time including the wonderful 2 hr boat ride of the mangrove swamps and park and the cable ride and skywalk. All tickets were organised and we had express tickets and a private boat ride ! Jan even bought us bananas so we could feed the monkeys on the boat tour.
Thank you Andrew and hope to see you again in langkawi
This is a MUST!! What an amazing tour and experience!! Our day was full of so much that it’s hard to put it all down in print, but the river tour was exceptional! Eagles, monkeys, BATS, scenery…..the list goes on! If you get the chance to book a tour, it must be this one!
Thank you so much
Fiza created an amazing day with our day stop in Langkawi! She allowed us ample time to do sight seeing & a great job explaining all about the island. She even stopped on an out of the way shop to try some coffee & get some special gifts that she recommended! It was a great price for everything that was included. Fiza done a great job, very pleasant and informative! Everyone should recommend her when taking this tour :). P.S. there were some options that were offered but not notated in excursion details. At waterfall you have the options for an ATV ride to the waterfall, which was an extra expense. Another VERY important option is with the cable car & skybridge. There is a “Skycab” that will take you to from the cable car to the skybridge that is an extra expense. OTHERWISE, you can reach the skybridge by walking down 340 STEEP steps and walking back up those 340 STEEP steps to get back 😣
Tq so much also with elevator u need to long que
We had a wonderful full day with Ruby our tour guide /driver . She provided us with so much information, was an excellent driver and a very positive person. We saw everything on the itinerary and arrived back to the cruise ship on time. i highly recommend this tour and ask for Ruby !
Thank you and please come again
Osman was GREAT. We experienced so much in a short time. The drive around the island was amazing and so inspiring from the waterfall, the skybridge and cable car. The thrilling boat ride to the fish farm, eagle feeding, and bat cave was a plus. We felt a personal connection with Osman.
Thank you so much
The excursion itself was fine, but the guide driver sucked. He was unable to comment at all. He knew nothing of his island, not even the number of inhabitants! He did not accompany us on any visit, he was waiting for us in his car, we had to find the explanations by ourselves, which is still sad when we pay 500€ the excursion for 4 people. Moreover, in the reservation was planned a snack at noon that we did not have.
Our private driver/guide was very kind and knowledgeable. He provided for a pleasant stress free day. He allowed us to stray from the itinerary when we desired and ensured we returned to the ship on time. Wonderful island.
Thank you and come again
It was a great day! Ruby was a wonderful driver and spoke excellent English. She gave us lots of information about the island. Our boat driver Daniel was also awesome. He stopped the boat do we could feed the monkeys. It was a very memorable day!
Tq brad ... And please come again
My gosh we had so much fun with Yuven. He made a little extra stop for some shelling on the beach and recommended a great restaurant at the shops for the Skycrest cable car. He even took us to and amazing store for my sister in law to find local packaged coffee. The whole excursion was amazing! Loved walking the suspension bridge! Thank You! Til we meet again!
Thank you joanna.. come again
